    Justin Bieber & One Direction Not Recording Together

    Despite the reports - and the hopes and dreams of millions of fans - Justin Bieber and British boy band One Direction are not recording together.

    Reports swirled on Wednesday when Direction member Niall Horan Tweeted, "In the studio with our boy @justinbieber last night, it's gonna sound great!"

    Group member Liam Payne also Tweeted, "Got a first listen to Justin Bieber's new album yesterday wowww big songs!!! It's gunna be a smash ... Expect the unexpected :O."

    But One Direction, who are "Saturday Night Live's" musical guest this week, cleared up the rumors with Access Hollywood on Thursday.

    "No, we just went down there to have a look around at his recording stuff and he invited us down to have a listen to his album" Liam told Access on the set of "SNL" on Thursday, when asked if they were recording with the teen singing star.

    "He's a nice guy and we had a good [listen] to the album, but I don't think there's any collaboration in the cards," he added.

    Catch One Direction and host Sofia Vergara on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend on NBC.
