It may be difficult for women of a certain age to land good roles in Hollywood, but that certainly didn't stop them from looking incredible at last night's Golden Globe awards. Several over-50 actresses stunned onlookers on the red carpet with their gorgeous looks.
Forty-four years after she sexed up space, Barbarella's still got it. Jane Fonda's body-hugging frock at the Golden Globes Sunday night got the whole of Hollywood hot under the collar. At 74 (!!!), Fonda appears to have found the secret to stopping time. In her form-fitting floor-length leopard print gown by Lebanese designer Jack Guisso, Fonda showed off a figure (without resorting to exposure, this time) to rival Scarlett Johansson's. All that exercising has done a body good! The short frosted hair and drop earrings, not to mention her smoky eyes, made it pop that much more.
Fonda even managed to impress famed ladies' man George Clooney. "Jane Fonda in that dress. My God," he told reporters backstage after winning best actor for "The Descendants." "She looked great, didn't she?" (Mind your elders, Stacey Keibler!)
A close second was Michelle Pfeiffer, who presented "War Horse" in a simple off-the-shoulder navy Jason Wu gown. With no necklace and a whip of curls over her face, the 53-year-old "Cheri" star is still the modern day answer to the Venus de Milo.
Meanwhile, Helen Mirren made Morgan Freeman proud in a diamond belted Badgley Mischka gown. The 66-year-old Brit opted for a rare updo, a welcome change as it showed off her Fred Leighton earrings, not to mention her timeless beauty.

Andie MacDowell upstaged her 22-year-old daughter, Raina Qualley, aka Miss Golden Globe, in a silver David Meister gown that sparkled almost as much as the 53-year-old beauty's side-swept mane. No wonder L'Oreal still has dibs on her hair!
Last but definitely not least, there's Madonna. Though her chest was uncomfortably mashed into her Reem Acra gown, she proved she still has it at 53. Not only did she somehow pull off wearing just one fingerless glove (a nod to Michael Jackson, perhaps?), but she also earned some laughs by mocking Golden Globe host Ricky Gervais.
Take a bow, ladies.
