These past few months must have been kind of weird for Stacey Koplin.
After a brunette woman was seen cavorting on the beach with Sean Penn earlier this summer (and jogging and doing errands with him), the media widely reported that she was named Stacey Koplin.
But now we learn from People that, in fact, this woman was misidentified as Koplin. Her name is actually Shannon Costello and she's been dating Penn since at least the beginning of July.
Costello is the former communications director for Penn's J/P Haitian Relief Organization. The two reportedly first met in the fall of 2009 and "became friends"; Costello started working for the organization in 2010. She's now working as a producer on Ron Howard's upcoming film "Under The Banner of Heaven."
