Forty-six years after she emerged from the sea in "mankind's first bikini," Raquel Welch is still smouldering.
The 71-year-old actress attended the Vanity Fair Montblanc party Tuesday, wearing a gold metallic dress that showed off her famous curves.

Dubbed by Playboy as "The Most Desired Woman" of the '70s, Welch became a sex symbol after she iconically emerged from the sea in a furry bikini as Loana in the 1966 film "One Million Years B.C."
She went on to star as the personification of lust in "Bedazzled" and to break boundaries on the big screen, scoring the first interracial sex scene (with Jim Brown in the 1969 film "100 Rifles") and starring as a transsexual heroine in "Myra Breckenridge."
In 1974, Welch won a Golden Globe for her role in "The Three Musketeers," and in 1984, she published her "Total Beauty and Fitness Program" after a brief foray into pop music.
Over the years, Welch's enduring beauty has been celebrated by the fashion world. In 2007, MAC Cosmetics made her the face of its Beauty Icon series and, since June 2010, she has appeared in TV ads for Foster Grant sunglasses.
"I have pictures of me at 23 or 24, and I think, 'Oh my God, I was really once that size!'" Welch said in 2008. "But actually I think my face looks better now."
No argument here!
