Miley Cyrus just can't be tamed.

The pop star and her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, got into a slight altercation with some fans earlier this week while they were vacationing in Costa Rica. A YouTube video posted online Tuesday shows Cyrus and Hemsworth interacting with some fans, including one who got angry when the couple said it was time to go.

In the video, Cyrus is heard apologetically saying, "I gotta go, honey."

However, as the 19-year-old singer walks away with her boyfriend, a woman suddenly yells, "A**hole!"

The outburst stops Cyrus in her tracks.

"What the f**k? Are you for real?" the singer replies, as Hemsworth is seen going out of frame to confront the woman. "I'm on vacation, I'm not being an a**hole."

After the incident, Cyrus took to Twitter on Wednesday to apologize for lashing out.

"Been trying not to tweet & just enjoy the holidays but just to clear something up I would NEVER swear to a fan," she wrote. "When someone yells something SO rude making ME look like an 'a**hole' in front of fans who I am more than happy 2 take a picture w/ i cant tolerate that kind of rudeness."

Cyrus added that no one else was to blame except the one woman who swore.

"Every1 who was there apologized 4 the woman's brusque behavior," she tweeted. "She obviously wasn't a fan. Hope every1 has a Merry Christmas! LOVE 2 ALL!"

Cyrus is known for standing up for herself, having told paparazzi to back off in the past. And we've got to say, we're fans of her pluck.
