The Kardashians have always gone all-out for Halloween, and this year, that means skin-tight sheer leopard bodysuits and nip-slipping Wonder Woman costumes. But there were times when Halloween was a simpler, wholesome time for the Kardashian clan, as momager Kris Jenner reminded us all with a picture from Kim and Kourtney's childhood.
Jenner posted a retro photo of the pint-sized sisters on Celebuzz on Thursday, and with the title "Throwback Thursday: Little Kourtney and Kim on Halloween", the picture shows the Kardashians in full costume in front of a pile of pumpkins and a skeleton decoration on the door.
"I was looking through old pics last week around the house and found this one of Kim and Kourtney when they were kids all dressed up for Halloween," Jenner wrote. "Halloween has always been a big thing for our family. I love to go all out and decorate the house from top to bottom. Who doesn't love a good holiday complete with costumes, decorations and candy!?"

True, both Kim and Kourtney look like they're having fun playing dress-up and covering their faces with makeup (practicing for their future career, perhaps?), but what's most interesting about the photo is what exactly the girls are supposed to be dressed as.
Covered in white face makeup, pink cheeks and arched eyebrows, they could be some kind of clown or anime character. But the light blue dresses, knee socks, and red ties give off more of a schoolgirl vibe. And is that a giant pear Kourtney is holding? Is that even Kourtney? We can't tell them apart!
Clearly, their stylist was not consulted on their Oct. 31 outfits.

But that's also what's great about this photo. While Kim tweets and Instragrams her way through myriad elaborate, expensive Halloween costume options and Kourtney preps some for her own kids, we're reminded of a time where you could just grab random pieces from your tickle trunk, and boom! You were a gypsy. Or boom! You were beauty queen. Or boom! You were a businessman. And your neighbours still didn't hesitate to fill your pillowcase full of candy.
We're crossing our fingers that come this year's Halloween, the Kardashian sisters decide to forgo their catsuits and instead recreate this little gem.
That, or just carry their ghostlike childhood cutouts around. That'd be scary enough.
