John Stamos yelled "Don't touch the hair!" countless times during his run on "Full House," but in the early '80s, he was encouraging girls to do the opposite.
In a 1983 Neet commercial that resurfaced this week, the handsome actor appears four years before he became the hair-obsessed Uncle Jesse in "Full House." Stamos was only 20 when the ad was filmed, and boy, does he look it.
"I love girls with grea- looking legs," he coos, his long feathered locks framing his face. "But not with that scratchy look you get from shaving."
Stamos says he did the ad for Neet because he wanted to "ban the razor."
"I want you to have those smooth, soft legs, the kind you get from Neet," he says.
At the end of the 30-second commercial, he shouts, "I love Neet girls!" as two bare-legged ladies attack him with hugs. (Lucky ladies!)
When confronted with this relic from his past yesterday, 48-year-old Stamos simply tweeted, "in all my glory!"
Surprisingly, the epilation ad didn't dissuade Stamos from doing commercials ever again. Since 2011, he has appeared in a series of ads for Dannon's Greek yogurt Oikos, and, earlier this month, he starred in his first Super Bowl spot for the brand.
