Breezy has been blown right off the interview circuit.
Chris Brown's manager has revealed he is banned from talking about his personal life to the media. In response to Billboard's query about the "strategic elements" she has planned for Brown's career, manager Tina Davis said, "Not have him do interviews but to concentrate on performing and recording. It was something we set a while back. We're not trying to be rude, selfish, or disrespectful to anyone in any way. If people are going to judge anything, judge him for his talent."
The ban comes several months after the 22-year-old "Take You Down" singer broke a window at "Good Morning America" after journalist Robin Roberts asked him about physically abusing ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. Brown is said to have thrown an object at an ABC studio window after the interview. Then, after a confrontation with the show's producer, Brown took off his shirt and left the building.
"I'm so over people bringing this past s--- up!!!" he tweeted at the time. "Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls---!"
The tweet was later removed, and Brown apologized for the incident. Surprisingly, the manager's ban does not extend to the singer's account, which has led to at least two recent public meltdowns. In December 2010, rapper Raz tweeted provocatively, "Im just sittin here Thinking how can n----s like @ebenet @ @ChrisBrown disrespect women as Intelligent as @HalleBerry11 @Rihanna."
In response, Brown unleashed a series of homophobia-laced tweets, one of which mocked Raz's past admission that he was once molested. After a series of back and forths, Brown tweeted,"BTW…I love all my gay fans and this immature act is not targeted at you!!!! Love."
If that weren't bad enough, in November, Brown deleted his entire account after he went off on a profanity-filled tirade when people continued to comment about the Rihanna incident.
"I know a lot of you wack ass (OLD) celebrities probably wanna f--- my ex, but talking s--- on me wont get you far!" he tweeted, adding, "and to be REALLY HONEST, ya'll wonder why ni--- spazzes all the time?"
Maybe his manager should get on that.
