Talk about dedication! Actress Charlize Theron, who underwent a serious makeunder for her Oscar-winning role as a serial killer in 2003's "Monster," was photographed with the newly shorn look she got for her upcoming film, "Mad Max: Fury Road." In the new pic, Theron, 36, sports a buzz cut on the post-apocalyptic movie's set in Namibia while cuddling Jackson, the adorable little boy she adopted earlier this year. Unlike "Monster," which required the actress to gain 30 pounds and wear fake crooked teeth, Theron's "Mad Max" transformation didn't require major body changes. Reportedly, however, her character will be missing part of her arm. A stunt double will help out with scenes where the body part is visible.

While the pic's somewhat blurry, it's clear Theron's fab facial features allow her to pull off the look. But what do you expect from someone who became a model at 16? Theron's not the only gorgeous leading lady who has had to get a close cut for a role. Demi Moore

    • Maroon 5 get ready to face their fans in NYC. (Jerritt Clark/WireImage)Maroon 5 may feel Overexposed, but that's not stopping the guys from putting themselves out there. The pop-rock band came together in New York City on Wednesday to sign copies of their new album for fans who took over the Best Buy location in Union Square. In a video chat that singer Adam Levine and guitarist James Valentine did with the electronics retailer, the "Voice" coach explained how he and his bandmates named the album. "I feel like we're kind of everywhere right now," thanks to the major success of his show and the band's hit "Moves Like Jagger," featuring fellow "Voice" judge Christina Aguilera. "So we wanted to say it so no one else would, or we could beat them to the punch."

Regardless of what critics may say about Maroon 5, there's no denying that their songs are catchy — and popular. "Moves Like Jagger," which appears on import versions of Overexposed (sorry, American fans!), spent weeks at No. 1 on many of Billboard's charts and sold more than five million

It's official - next year's Father's Day is going to be tough to beat for Jay-Z.

First, he gets a private jet from Beyoncé. Next, a $34,000 24-karat gold skull from Kanye West. We'd call that a "good haul" if there ever was one. That is, if we were into having our apartments flying through the air and owning bejeweled bones.

Actually we hope this is some kind of inside joke between the best buds, because a skull encrusted with red topaz stones on the top doesn't exactly scream "World's #1 Dad."

Perhaps Kanye wanted to go Shakespearian with his gift, referencing "Hamlet" after recording "Watch the Throne." In any case, he took this occasion to heart, apparently using a private jet to accompany a courier service to make sure it was safely delivered to Jigga.

What, a $5,210 poker chip set, or a $2,000 monogrammed, jewel-encrusted warthog tusk corkscrew aren't extravagant enough? At least Jay-Z could have used them for a purpose.

Oh well, it's the thought that counts after all.

    • Hamm and Westfeldt. (Eamonn McCormack/WireImage)

Jon Hamm surely must be one mad man. The actor and his longtime girlfriend, writer-director Jennifer Westfeldt, were the victims of theft while the two were in London to promote their film "Friends With Kids" earlier this month. It all began when Westfeldt's purse was snatched from her chair during dinner unbeknownst to her. Things got much worse when the thief rifled through the bag and found the couple's hotel key, which just so happened to have the name of the place where they were staying and the room number! So when Hamm and Westfeldt returned home later that evening, some of their personal belongings were gone. "What a mess," Westfeldt, 42, tells Life & Style. "I'm not feeling great. It is under investigation."

Despite the incident, there's one thing Westfeldt is feeling good about: her dreamboat boyfriend. In fact, working together on "Friends With Benefits" — she and Hamm, 41, both starred in and produced the flick, which she also wrote — brought them even closer

    • Perry popped onstage. (Splash News)

Katy Perry was living out a teenage dream on Tuesday night. After performing for a huge crowd in Hollywood, following the premiere of her new movie "Part of Me," she partied the night away with none other than Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Robert Pattinson. But before that, the pop star put on quite a show for her adoring fans who took over Hollywood Boulevard. Wearing a movie theater-inspired dress featuring red-and-white stripes, huge popcorn pieces, and film reels, Perry performed a bunch of her biggest hits, including "I Kissed a Girl" and her new song "Wide Awake."

After the film ended, Perry, 27, started her night at the Chateau Marmont with her very random group of famous friends. From there, they all piled into a party bus — or in Bieber's case, he jumped head first into it — and headed over to David Arquette's new club, Bootsy Bellows, his mother's burlesque name. "They were all hanging out in the VIP room," a source tells E! Online. "They were all just

    • Ke$ha’s provocative new lip tattoo

Ke$ha (Getty Images for Versace for H&M)

In the few years that Ke$ha has been on the music scene, she's attempted to prove — time and again — that she's a bad girl who doesn't care what other people think. Her latest message to the world? A tattoo on her inner lip that says "Suck it!"

The 25-year-old "Tik Tok" and "Sleazy" singer posted an Instagram photo via Twitter earlier today of the body art, writing, "New tatt!!!" and mentioning Alchemy Tattoo in Silver Lake, California. The picture shows Ke$ha pulling down her lower lip to reveal the provocatively worded tattoo.

The "Suck it!" ink reportedly brings Ke$ha's total tattoo count up to six, including two do-it-yourself tattoos that she applied with a safety pin and a pen. The Nashville native has also shared her tattoo craftiness with others, telling Paper magazine: "I saw this hot dude recently and I gave him a tattoo sitting in the lobby of the hotel. I was just like, 'Can I borrow a pen and a sewing kit?' I think I got an admirer out of that one." She also

    • Paula Deen details how she lost 30 lb. in six months

Deen on the July 9 cover of People

Known for her high-calorie creations, Paula Deen was widely criticized earlier this year when she revealed that she has type 2 diabetes — and had been diagnosed with the disease three years earlier. Around the same time the Southern chef went public with her health crisis, she also landed an endorsement deal for a diabetes drug, so there was backlash about her motivation for speaking out in the first place. Six months later, Deen — who completely overhauled her diet — has dropped 30 pounds and is talking about how she lost the weight.

"I was surprised by the depth of hate," Deen, 65, said about the backlash to People. "This is not something I chose. I had been given lemons and I had to try to make lemonade — without sugar!"

Since January, the 5-foot-6 foodie has lost more than 30 pounds and has gone from a size 18 to a 10. "The architecture of my plate has changed," said Deen, who has daily injections to regulate her blood sugar. "I double up on greens — whether it's salad

    • Lindsay Lohan posing with a gun (Terry Richardson)

Where LiLo goes, scandal will follow.

Following a car crash, a bout of exhaustion while filming the Lifetime TV movie "Liz & Dick," and rocky relationships on the set, Lindsay Lohan is back in the headlines with another less-than-subtle cry for help: a scandalous photo shoot posed in suicidal positions with a gun.

The shoot was done at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel with infamous photographer Terry Richardson, known for his racy and controversial spreads for magazines like Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair, and for clothing lines like Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, and Diesel. And for just being a general creep.

The photos depict Lohan, with dark black hair and a disheveled plaid shirt, looking morose as she places a gun to her head and in her mouth. Those photos have been taken down from Richardson's photo blog, but other firearm-free shots still remain from the shoot. They're mostly of her channeling her role as Elizabeth Taylor, looking really confused about hairbrushes, and looking

    • Fans of Starz's sword-and-sandals drama "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" were devastated to learn last September that original series star Andy Whitfield had passed away from non-Hodgkin lymphoma at the tragically young age of 39. But now there's a way for fans to help memorialize the late actor: A new documentary chronicling Whitfield's battle with the disease, "Be Here Now," is in post-production now, and the filmmakers are seeking fan donations to help complete the project.

Entertainment Weekly first reported on the documentary from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lilibet Foster, in which Whitfield invited a camera crew to follow him as he traveled the world with his wife Vashti, seeking alternative treatment from the best doctors in the world in hopes of beating his grim cancer diagnosis. "Be Here Now" also gives us a behind-the-scenes look at Whitfield filming his lead role as Spartacus, along with heartwarming footage of his home life with Vashti and their two young children.

    • New Documentary Catches Up With Chris “Leave Britney Alone!” Crocker

Before there was Rebecca Black, Justin Bieber, or David After Dentist, there was Chris Crocker, one of YouTube's original "ceWebrities." Back in September 2007, the bleached-blonde Tennessee teen found instant and unlikely fame when a camcorder rant he shot at his grandparents' house, " Leave Britney Alone!"--a sobbing defense of his fallen idol Britney Spears, after she caught flak for her disastrous VMAs performance--went superviral. (The clip racked up more than four million views in just two days, and as of this writing, it has been watched almost 44 million times.) But there is more to Chris Crocker than just those two minutes and 12 seconds of online infamy, as a surprising new documentary that premiered at Sundance earlier this year and aired on HBO this week, Me @ The Zoo, now reveals.

The film, which was executive-produced by R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, co-directed by Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears's husband Chris Moukarbel, and scored by Bjork/Usher/Philip Glass
