    • Ashley Greene (Brooke Nipar)

When Ashley Greene was cast as Alice Cullen in the mega-blockbuster movie series "The Twilight Saga," the 25-year-old Florida native was handed what could be described as a golden ticket. While most actors struggle throughout their entire careers to find paying jobs, Greene — who recently wrapped the series' fifth and final film, "New Moon: Part 2," which will be out this fall — can be a little more selective about her career choices, thanks to the magical winning combination of her "Twilight" paychecks, and, well, international stardom. And, although she's loved playing Robert Pattinson's sister in the vampire flicks, she's looking forward to tackling new projects.

In the next few months you'll be seeing a lot of Greene, who has three movies coming soon to a theater near you. In addition to "New Moon: Part 2," which, as the last film in the saga, is pretty much guaranteed to be tops at the box office, she'll appear in "Butter" with

    • Holmes without her wedding ring (Splash News)

Katie Holmes is moving full speed ahead into her new life as a single mother. Within days after she reportedly "blindsided" Tom Cruise by filing for divorce, she's ditched her wedding ring and is carving out a new life for herself and her daughter.

Despite the media attention on her right now, Holmes honored her commitment to appear as a judge on "Project Runway All-Stars" Monday afternoon. Looking pretty and pulled together in a navy blue dress, the 33-year-old actress arrived at Parsons The New School for Design in Manhattan to tape the guest spot. She didn't say anything as she entered or exited the building, but she let her finger — bare of the wedding ring she's worn since she married Cruise in Italy in 2006 — do the talking.

"Project Runway" judge Isaac Mizrahi told People that Holmes, who has a high-end fashion line called Holmes & Yang, "did great" during her guest gig. Another source told the magazine, "She was engaged, articulate, and wonderful!"

Willow Smith may not be able to whip her hair back and forth anymore, but the 11-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett is still making a mark in music. On Sunday, Willow debuted the video for her new song, "I Am Me," a ballad about celebrating her unique look, which is often mocked. In it, the tween, who has a shaved head, wanders around New York City in an oversized yellow-and-white polka dot shirt and stops in various locations to play her keyboard and sing for the camera. Although the song is pretty simple (the chorus repeats: "I am me/I am free/That's all I can be"), Willow's powerful pipes are quite impressive for her age.

"I Am Me" is the third song released by Willow and is expected to appear on her upcoming debut album, "Knees and Elbows," which does not yet have a release date, but will also include her 2010 smash hit "Whip My Hair," which went platinum and peaked at No. 11 on the Billbord Hot 100 chart, as well as "Fireball," a collaboration with

    • Italian model and actress Elisabetta Canalis is glam every time she steps onto the red carpet. The former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant's looks even caught the eye of famed playboy George Clooney, who she dated for about two years until the couple called it quits in June 2011. But does she have what it takes to outshine Hollywood legend Jane Fonda? The ladies wore the same dark red, sequined gown designed by Roberto Cavalli just 15 months apart. Gasp! Did they think we wouldn't notice? Now we have no choice but to decide ... who wore it best?!

Fonda, 74, donned the dress for the premiere of animated film "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival in France in May. The Oscar-winning actress/workout guru/all-around-cool chick finished her look with Chopard jewels.

Canalis, 33, debuted the dress as she hosted the 2011 Sanremo Music Festival in Italy in February 2011. She left her hair down, and made her look all about the creation from

    • Holmes and Cruise out with Suri in NYC last winter (Tom Meinelt-Jason Winslow/Splash)Following the news that Katie Holmes reportedly blindsided Tom Cruise by filing for divorce last week, the burning question is what went wrong between the couple, whose relationship at one time was so passionate that Cruise was literally jumping up and down on national television about it. Numerous reports link the split to Cruise's devotion to Scientology, stating that Holmes, 33, became concerned for the welfare of their 6-year-old daughter, Suri, as the girl's involvement with the controversial religion was set to increase. Holmes' divorce papers, seeking sole custody, spoke volumes.

According to TMZ, Holmes is divorcing Cruise in part because she believed he planned to send Suri away from home to a hardcore Scientology association known as Sea Organization. "Sea Org, as it is known, is where the highest levels of Scientology are taught and kids as young as five can be sent to live there ... without their parents — and our sources say Tom is a big fan," states the

    • Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing after five years of marriage, reports People magazine. According to the actress' attorney Jonathan Wolfe, "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest." The Hollywood couple wed in a lavish ceremony in Italy in November 2006 with their daughter Suri, then just a baby, by their side.

    • It was one of life's biggest mysteries - or at least it was in the '80s - what does Marty McFly play on his Walkman to wake up his sleeping father in "Back to the Future"? Was it really Edward Van Halen, as the label on the cassette tape says, and if so, what song is it? Only one person had the secret...

And now it's out! Van Halen himself has confirmed it was him riffing on the guitar in the iconic "Silence, Earthling" scene, which you can watch below.

Since the music clip is short and unrecognizable, there has been a lot of doubt since 1985 over the identity of the song, and whether or not it was really the Van Halen frontman. IMDB claims it's an untitled track written by Van Halen for the movie "The Wild Life" featuring Lea Thompson, who played Marty's mom in "Back to the Future." Others have said it's the song "Eruption," or another unreleased track of a Van Halen mix tape "Donut City."

What does Eddie say? Just "a bunch of noise."

A little anti-climactic, sure, but at least now

Talk about dedication! Actress Charlize Theron, who underwent a serious makeunder for her Oscar-winning role as a serial killer in 2003's "Monster," was photographed with the newly shorn look she got for her upcoming film, "Mad Max: Fury Road." In the new pic, Theron, 36, sports a buzz cut on the post-apocalyptic movie's set in Namibia while cuddling Jackson, the adorable little boy she adopted earlier this year. Unlike "Monster," which required the actress to gain 30 pounds and wear fake crooked teeth, Theron's "Mad Max" transformation didn't require major body changes. Reportedly, however, her character will be missing part of her arm. A stunt double will help out with scenes where the body part is visible.

While the pic's somewhat blurry, it's clear Theron's fab facial features allow her to pull off the look. But what do you expect from someone who became a model at 16? Theron's not the only gorgeous leading lady who has had to get a close cut for a role. Demi Moore

    • Maroon 5 get ready to face their fans in NYC. (Jerritt Clark/WireImage)Maroon 5 may feel Overexposed, but that's not stopping the guys from putting themselves out there. The pop-rock band came together in New York City on Wednesday to sign copies of their new album for fans who took over the Best Buy location in Union Square. In a video chat that singer Adam Levine and guitarist James Valentine did with the electronics retailer, the "Voice" coach explained how he and his bandmates named the album. "I feel like we're kind of everywhere right now," thanks to the major success of his show and the band's hit "Moves Like Jagger," featuring fellow "Voice" judge Christina Aguilera. "So we wanted to say it so no one else would, or we could beat them to the punch."

Regardless of what critics may say about Maroon 5, there's no denying that their songs are catchy — and popular. "Moves Like Jagger," which appears on import versions of Overexposed (sorry, American fans!), spent weeks at No. 1 on many of Billboard's charts and sold more than five million

It's official - next year's Father's Day is going to be tough to beat for Jay-Z.

First, he gets a private jet from Beyoncé. Next, a $34,000 24-karat gold skull from Kanye West. We'd call that a "good haul" if there ever was one. That is, if we were into having our apartments flying through the air and owning bejeweled bones.

Actually we hope this is some kind of inside joke between the best buds, because a skull encrusted with red topaz stones on the top doesn't exactly scream "World's #1 Dad."

Perhaps Kanye wanted to go Shakespearian with his gift, referencing "Hamlet" after recording "Watch the Throne." In any case, he took this occasion to heart, apparently using a private jet to accompany a courier service to make sure it was safely delivered to Jigga.

What, a $5,210 poker chip set, or a $2,000 monogrammed, jewel-encrusted warthog tusk corkscrew aren't extravagant enough? At least Jay-Z could have used them for a purpose.

Oh well, it's the thought that counts after all.
