A lot of people would admire Anne Hathaway for the dedication she puts into preparing for her film roles, especially when it comes to changing her physical appearance. But her fiancé, Adam Shulman, apparently isn't one of them.
Star magazine is reporting that Shulman, a 31-year-old actor, "hates her new haircut and frail figure," thinks she looks like "a sickly little boy," and that Hathaway is "not exactly the girl he fell in love with anymore." This is after the 29-year-old actress chopped off her hair and lived on a diet of hummus and radishes, which she said is making her skin break out, for her upcoming role in the film adaption of "Les Misérables."
When she was getting ready for "The Dark Knight Rises" (rather, for the catsuit she had to wear), Hathaway also had to devote herself to hitting the gym to bulk up. Such physically demanding roles are stressful, exhausting, and leave little time for personal relationships -- so it's understandable that sources say the couple have been bickering more frequently. We're hoping Shulman's remarks are only fleeting and their engagement is strong enough to survive a few spats and a haircut. But with Hathaway's choice of men in the past, the jury's still out.
