Millenium FilmsAmanda Seyfried has appeared for the first time as porn star Linda Lovelace, and the results are a little unexpected.
Complete with tanned skin, feathered hair, and disco makeup, the 26-year-old "Lovelace" star definitely looks '70s-ready, but Seyfried isn't quite the mirror image of the real star of one of the first mainstream adult films.
Linda Lovelace, whose real name was Linda Susan Boreman, rose to fame after showing off her, uh, unusual skill set in 1972's "Deep Throat." She was a fresh-faced New Yorker who was very pretty, but she didn't have the bombshell good looks of Seyfried.
It was just last year that Seyfried landed the coveted role, which revolves around Lovelace's abuse by the adult film industry and subsequent life as an anti-pornography activist. The film also stars Peter Sarsgaard and James Franco.
"It's a huge responsibility to be the voice of somebody else, and it was very difficult because what she had to go through was so dark," Seyfried told the U.K.'s Telegraph in March. "There was so much material available to me, which made it less daunting, but it's definitely the hardest thing I've ever had to do."

Seyfried was first seen as Linda in January, when paparazzi shots showed her filming in Long Beach. However, this new poster is the first official image from the film.
Of course, "Lovelace" is not to be confused with "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story," the other film about the adult film actress. That one stars Canadian actress Malin Akerman, who took over the title role over from Lindsay Lohan.
