Alexander Skarsgard wants in on ‘Zoolander 2′

Playing the undead Eric Northman on "True Blood" seems to be working well for the Swedish hunk Alexander Skarsgard -- so much so that he's trying to give his "Zoolander" character a spot in the sequel as a ghost.

If you don't remember Skarsgard being in the first film, don't worry. His character Meekus appears only briefly in the movie's early scenes as one of Zoolander's (Ben Stiller) male-model roommates.

And luckily, five seasons on the vampire melodrama "True Blood" hasn't taken away Skarsgard's sense of humour. Now that "Zoolander 2" is in the works, the 35-year-old actor told British GQ that he's been pitching ways to get Meekus back on the big screen, even though the character met his demise in the first film in a freak gasoline fight accident.

"I wouldn't want to miss that. Well, I'm hoping they would do something like the scene with Hamlet's father, and that Meekus will come back as a ghost—I mean, he's definitely dead," Skarsgard said.

Skarsgard's next film to come out is "The East" with Ellen Page (whom he's also rumoured to be dating, leading to some seriously disturbing death threats).

And if the Meekus cameo does come through for "Zoolander 2," we know just how to celebrate: orange mocha frappuccinos!
