    • The Situation is seeking help. (David Becker/WireImage)

It seems The Situation might have, well, a situation. According to TMZ, "Jersey Shore" star Mike Sorrentino has checked into an "inpatient treatment program." Although it hasn't been specified what Sorrentino's issues are exactly, a rep for the reality star would only say that he "has spent the past several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule" and insisted he "is not in rehab." Amid the rumors, The Situation himself tweeted, "Don't believe everything you read or hear."

It looks like someone won't be invited to the White House any time soon. While hosting a benefit for President Barack Obama's reelection campaign in New York City on Monday night, Robert De Niro made a racial joke while introducing First Lady Michelle Obama. "Callista Gingrich. Karen Santorum. Ann Romney," the Oscar-winning actor began in front of an audience that included Beyonce, Whoopi Goldberg, and Harvey Weinstein. "Now do you really think our country is ready for a white first lady?"

Almost immediately, White House aides scrambled to make it clear that De Niro's comment "was inappropriate," said the First Lady's Campaign Press Secretary, Olivia Alair. Realizing his gaffe, the 68-year-old also publicly vetoed his "joke." In a statement to E! News on Tuesday, De Niro apologized, saying, "My remarks, although spoken with satirical jest, were not meant to offend or embarrass anyone, especially the first lady."

If "Two and a Half Men" doesn't work out for Ashton Kutcher, there's always a second career as an astronaut. That's right, the actor has signed up to travel into outer space with Virgin Galactic, Virgin CEO Richard Branson announced on Monday. Kutcher, 34, is actually the 500th "customer" to pony up the $200,000 cost. "I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him," Branson wrote on his blog. "He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself."

Here we go again. Two weeks after Jon Hamm called Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton "f---ing idiots" in an Elle UK interview, he's fueling the fire once more. On the "Today" show on Monday morning, the actor, promoting the upcoming season of "Mad Men," responded to Kardashian's reaction to his comment. The reality star had tweeted last week that Hamm's jab was "careless" because she runs a bunch of businesses and has a successful TV show. His response? "I don't think they were careless; I think they were accurate."

    • Landry and Lopez. (Mike Guastella/WireImage)

Mario Lopez's fiancee, Courtney Mazza, better keep a close eye on her man. His ex-wife, former Doritos Girl Ali Landry, opened up for the first time about how the "Extra" host cheated on her repeatedly during their six-year relationship on "The Wendy Williams Show" on Thursday. Just before their 2004 wedding, Landry says she heard rumblings that Lopez may have strayed, but when she confronted him about it, she says, "He swore that it was not true." Although she adds that she had "a feeling in my gut" he was lying, Landry went ahead with the wedding anyway because it was in Mexico and her family had already booked their travel. "I really should have put the brakes on it at that point, but I was afraid."

    • Bobbi Kristina and Nick are an item. (Credit: SDFL/Splash News)

What would Whitney Houston think of this? The late singer's 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown emerged in Atlanta on Monday holding hands with Nick Gordon — whom Houston "adopted" a decade ago. Stranger yet, the twosome openly kissed each other passionately on their way to pick up pizza, lending credence to the reports that Brown and Gordon, 22, are together. And the couple is not trying to hide their feelings. Last week, Gordon posted a photo of him and Brown together on Twitter with the message, "Yea we got a little closer and what," while Brown has been re-tweeting all the virtual well-wishes she has received from fans on her new relationship.
