She's an international superstar, but London, Ontario-born actress Rachel McAdams still lives in her adopted city of Toronto rather than in glamorous Los Angeles.
"I feel very much at home there," she tells the U.K.'s Metro. "I ride my bike everywhere. I have my favourite restaurants. My perfect day is riding to an amazing cinema called the Lightbox, then having a glass of wine and a quinoa salad," she said. How Torontonian!
McAdams even brings her boyfriend, Welsh actor Michael Sheen, to visit her home.
The romance between McAdams and Sheen seems picture-perfect -- but that's probably because the two aren't perfect.
McAdams reveals that she looks for flaws in her potential love interests, and that if a couple has no differences, the relationship would get "rather dull."
"Having a difference of opinion is good; coming at the world from a different place. I think we are thrown together to learn things from each other," said the 33-year-old actress, which we can definitely believe is true for her relationship with Sheen, who is 10 years her senior. In fact, they're so imperfectly matched, wedding rumours have been swirling for some time. They reportedly never spend more than three weeks apart.
