When you've gotta go, you've gotta go.

One Direction's Niall Horan answered the call of nature at an odd moment the other day -- while performing backstage in Toronto with fellow "X Factor" alum Olly Murs.

"What happens backstage usually stays backstage...until now!!" Murs tweeted with a link to a video of the toilet performance, which took place during 1D's tour stop in Toronto this week.

In the video, Murs performs an acoustic version of his hit song "My Heart Skips a Beat" with some members of the Toronto show crew. The camera then pans to Horan, who sings and strums his guitar from atop the porcelain throne.

Don't worry, One Direction fans -- he wasn't actually using the toilet. We guess the room in which they were performing was a tad small. In the video, Horan eventually emerges from the toilet to dance and duet with Murs.

One Direction and Murs hit the Molson Amphitheater on Tuesday and Thursday, where, contrary to popular belief, Toronto was ready for them.

"TORONTO!! Thanks for an amazing 2 shows!!" Murs tweeted after the gigs. "@onedirection fans are awesome!!"

During their tour stop, the British boy band also took in some sights at Niagara Falls  on Wednesday. They took a trip on the Maid of the Mist, visited the Crystal Cave Maze of Mirrors, and played a game of laser tag before refueling at the Grimsby Taco Bell.
