Dating a co-star sucks! At least that's what Nina Dobrev thought -- before she met Ian Somerhalder.
In the October issue of Seventeen, the Canadian "Vampire Diaries" actress revealed that she resisted the charms of 33-year-old Somerhalder for "a really, really long time."
"I didn't want to be dating one of my co-stars," Dobrev said. "My goal on the show was to be professional."
But the 23-year-old Toronto native eventually gave in, saying, "Sometimes you can't help who you have a connection with, and you can only fight it for so long."

Last September, the couple confirmed to Us Weekly that they were dating, though Dobrev recently shot down rumours that they would soon be walking down the aisle.
"He always has a positive outlook and positive energy, and he's always happy," Dobrev told the mag. "He is a glass-half-full kind of guy, not half-empty."

But just because the "Perks of Being a Wallflower" star now has a boyfriend doesn't mean she has no time for her girlfriends.
"Girls' weekend with the 'Vampire Diaries' girls has become a big deal," she said. "It's our quality time. It's so much fun to unload and not feel guilty complaining or talking about your insecurities or bonding over things that you thought you were on your own about."
