On "24," Jack Bauer lost his wife in Season 1. But, as it turns out, that wasn't his first experience with heartbreak.
In a new commercial for Axe body spray, Kiefer Sutherland, who played Jack Bauer on "24" for eight seasons until 2010, pines after a high school girl named Susan Glenn. But don't worry: At the time, the Canadian actor was in high school, too.

An antidote to the superhuman heroes of Axe's traditional ads, Sutherland's voice praises the pretty brunette as he claims he was "a peasant before a queen" -- meaning he never asked out the commercial's eponymous teen.

"If I could do it again, I'd do it differently," Sutherland concludes as he is finally seen, talking to his bathroom mirror.

In reality, Sutherland, 45, has been married twice -- first to Camelia Kath from 1987 to 1990, and then to Elizabeth Kelly Winn from 1996 to 2004. He was also famously engaged to Julia Roberts in 1990, but rumour has it the actress broke it off after finding out her fiancé was seeing someone else (though Sutherland denied it).
