It's been more than a month since Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger announced their engagement, and it looks like "Chavril" is still going strong. So strong, in fact, that the "Nickelback" frontman had a bit of a surprise for his beloved for her 28th birthday.
Performing in front of thousands of fans in Munich, Germany on Wednesday night, Kroeger shocked the crowd when he brought an embarrassed-looking Lavigne out on stage. Kroeger then led the crowd in a very loud rendition of "Happy Birthday," much to Lavigne's (and the fans') delight.
Following a whirlwind (and mostly secret) courtship, Lavigne and 37-year-old Kroeger revealed their engagement on Aug. 21, appearing together on the cover of Hello! Canada (with Lavigne flashing her gigantic 14-carat diamond ring).
"He makes me laugh every day," Lavigne said at the time. "He takes care of me in every way and is extremely attentive."
