They have completely different looks and the characters they play could not be more different from each other, but Emily VanCamp and Jessica Paré were neck-and-neck when it came to the crown of Canada's most glamorous TV Queen at Sunday night's Emmy Awards.

Standing out in the sea of bright colours, sequins, ruffles, and metallics, both of the stunning starlets arrived at the red carpet in elegant gowns and understated up-dos. While the two Canadian stars (Paré is from Montreal and VanCamp from Port Perry, Ont.) weren't competing for any golden statues themselves, if there was an award for Canada's most glamorous export, the race would be tight.
Paré attended the awards in support of her fellow "Mad Men" cast mates nominated in all the acting categories for a drama, as well as part of the ensemble nominated for Outstanding Drama Series. As the new wife of Don Draper (Jon Hamm), Paré's character Megan makes the men of Sterling Cooper Draper Price swoon with her '60s style. But at the Emmys, the actress' choice of a Grecian Goddess-like white gown took everyone by delightful surprise. The custom Jason Wu gown (combined with with a black belt, black Christian Louboutin bag, and deep red lips) looked magnificent against Paré's porcelain skin and dark hair pulled back in a wavy bun. This showstopper of an outfit proved that 29-year-old Paré is not tied to a single fashion era.

Meanwhile, Emily VanCamp is the femme fatale of ABC's "Revenge" — blonde, brave, and ready to kick some butt. On the show, her character's fashion ranges between sultry vixen and Hamptons preppy — but on the red carpet, VanCamp chose to straddle those two styles with a classy J. Mendel silver-grey chiffon gown. Sheer and opaque in all the right places, it was simultaneously revealing and modest, and if it weren't for the adorable bow bracelet and earrings by Van Cleef and Arpels, that deep-V might have sent all the male Emmy viewers into cardiac arrest. While gunmetal gowns were a trend at this year's awards ceremony, VanCamp definitely stood out from the crowd, showing off her girl-next-door looks.
Who do you think rocked the red carpet best? "Mad Men's" Jessica Paré or "Revenge's" Emily VanCamp?
