If Cornwall, Ont. is looking for a way to boost its image as a vacation destination, then boy, is it in luck. The city just received a gift from the tourism gods, as a recently-discovered video of "Mickey Mouse Club" era Ryan Gosling has surfaced, featuring the young actor pointing out his favourite hometown spots.

It’s common knowledge that this Hollywood A-lister, most recently seen in crime dramas “Gangster Squad” and “The Place Beyond the Pines,” got his acting start on the Disney Channel’s children’s entertainment show from 1993 to 1995. But every once in a while, a new vintage video surfaces on the Internet and we get yet another glimpse of the teenaged Gosling. This little treasure is apparently part of a series of videos in which cast members give the audience a tour of where they grew up.

Justin Bieber has taken all he can … and he’s not taking it anymore!

On Thursday morning, the “Beauty and a Beat” singer took a break from posting shirtless photos of himself on Instagram to go on a lengthy rant about the negative press he’s been getting lately. As you may recall, he’s been reamed for a slew of things, including complaining about “the worst birthday ever” because his underage friend reportedly wasn’t allowed into a club, being two hours late to his London concert, cancelling another in Portugal, and then having to be physically restrained by his security as he went for a photographer while spewing the f-word – and that was all just last week.

“Everyone in my team has been telling me, ‘keep the press happy’ but I'm tired of all the countless lies in the press right now,” Bieber, who is currently in Madrid, Spain, began in the seemingly unproofed posting, which he subsequently deleted ... and then re-posted, but with a modified ending (read more about that below). “Saying I'm going to rehab and how my family is disappointed in me. My family is beyond proud, and nothing's been said by them … if Anyone believes i need rehab thats their own stupidity lol.”

Jim Carrey’s career is flying high at the moment. He'll soon be seen as Colonel Stars and Stripes in "Kick Ass 2," he just signed on to the highly-anticipated “Dumb and Dumber” sequel, and he’s busy promoting "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone," his latest comedy with Steve Carrell.

But in all this recent success, Carrey is still keeping his feet on the ground. His very, very, comically over-sized prosthetic feet, that is.

For the 51-year-old comedian’s appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” this week, Carrey added some flare to his stage entrance with a fun little dance, an impressive achievement since he was wearing two giant fake feet instead of shoes.

If she’s going to marry “Saturday Night Live” comedian Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Wilde must have a pretty good sense of humour, right? Not if you ask the legions of Beliebers who recently unleashed a whole lot of anger upon the 29-year-old actress after she slighted Justin Bieber on Twitter.

“Bieber, put your f---ing shirt on. (unless you lost all your shirts in a fire in which case my condolences and please purchase a new shirt.)” Wilde posted earlier this month, referencing the 19-year-old’s tendency to reveal his chest on social media and in photos snapped by paparazzi.

Edward Norton is about to welcome a Canadian baby into his home -- well, 50 percent Canadian, anyway.

The "Moonrise Kingdom" star's Canuck fiancée, Shauna Robertson, is set to give birth to their first child "any day now," Us Weekly reports.

The mom-to-be is a Toronto-born film producer in her late 30s who often works with comedy giant Judd Apatow (from "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" to "Pineapple Express").
According to a 2008 feature in Esquire, "Pineapple Express" director David Gordon Green nicknamed Robertson "The Velvet Hammer" because "she rarely demands anything from the cast or crew -- they just like to agree with her."

Robertson grew up on a farm outside Toronto where her father taught hang-gliding and her mom taught yoga -- and also took young Shauna out of school every Tuesday for matinees at the cinema. "My mother called me the benevolent dictator because I liked things done in an efficient way," Robertson told the L.A. Times in 2007.

What began as a fun little twist on a press junket interview has now changed a New Zealand woman’s life, and it may or may not be for the better.

Last month, Rotten Tomatoes interviewed Ryan Gosling as he was promoting “Gangster Squad,” and surprised the 32-year-old London, Ont. native with a tea towel bearing his own face. His reaction was, as expected, totally adorable, and the video went viral -- and so did Colleen Pugh, creator of the Gosling-inspired tea towel.

The Dunedin, New Zealand-based graphic designer made frequent updates to her blog as Gosling gate, as she calls it, unfolded.

Jim Carrey was single and apparently ready to mingle Monday night at the premiere of "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone."

The 51-year-old Canadian sported some showstopping silver shoes as he strutted his stuff alongside co-stars Olivie Wilde and Steve Carell at the TCL Chinese Theatre in L.A. Monday night.

"Big premiere for Burt Wonderstone, tonight! They dug the film!" Carrey tweeted. "Lots of good folks came out to cheer. Always a thrill. I love 'em all!"

Conspicuously absent from the proceedings was 20-something makeup artist Cathriona White, the Irish lass Carrey reportedly started dating last fall. And as it turns out, there was a good reason for that.

This has not been Justin Bieber's year.

He probably had an idea that things were not going to go his way when he spent the end of 2012 reportedly ending things for good with his longtime on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez and being snubbed by the Grammys, and the very first week of the year brought two big scandals. Unfortunately for Biebs, it only got worse from there.

Here's a breakdown of what's played out so far - and keep in mind that there are still nine months left in 2013.

January 1: A paparazzo in pursuit of Bieber's white Ferrari (though, it turns out Bieber is not even in the car) is struck by another motorist and killed. Bieber issues a statement that his "thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim" and he hopes "this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation … to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves." Despite the public statement, there's speculation that Bieber is less than heartbroken by the tragic turn of events.
