It's usually TMZ who's calling out Justin Bieber, but on Monday the Canadian pop star gave the gossip website a little taste of their own medicine.

According to WENN.com, the 19-year-old "Boyfriend" singer posted TMZ's hotline number -- a toll-free number, meaning the site would have to pay the bill -- on his site on April Fools' Day and tweeted, "As promised taking all fan phone calls TODAY... Talk to u soon!" The Biebz eventually deleted the tweet but left up the follow-up message, "Did everyone call me yet?"

So how does this prank measure up to the panoply of others the famous "prankster" has unleashed on fans and fellow celebs over the years? Let's compare.

With two episodes left to shoot in season four, sources confirm to omg! that production on Fox's hit show will continue as scheduled without Monteith. The 30-year-old actor was originally set to appear in both episodes in a big way; however, Monteith's absence will be explained, sources say.

A rep for the actor told omg! on Sunday that the "Glee" star voluntarily entered rehab for substance abuse.

The network, show creator Ryan Murphy, Monteith’s girlfriend Lea Michele, and some of the actor’s other "Glee" co-stars have all publicly expressed support 

A patient at Toronto’s Sick Kids Hospital, 14-year-old Kayla Baker, got three special visitors this past weekend. One, of course, was the Easter Bunny. The other two were the stars of one of her favourite TV shows, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder from “The Vampire Diaries.”

Baker was admitted into Sick Kids on March 13 with pulmonary fibrosis, with which she was diagnosed at the age of 11. The Cambridge, Ontario native has been on the donor list for a double lung transplant for two years, and has been active in the promotion organ donation all the while. Dobrev and Somerhalder, who are TV costars and a real life couple, heard about Baker’s plight and posted a video message last Thursday to Dobrev’s WhoSay account.

Creator Ryan Murphy along with stars Jenna Ushkowitz, Harry Shum Jr., Kevin McHale, and Amber Riley have all tweeted well wishes to Monteith, 30.

"I am so proud of Cory Monteith and love and support him 100%" Murphy tweeted.

"Sending lots of love and light to @CoryMonteith. We love you." Ushkowitz said, while Harry Shum Jr. tweeted: "Supporting @CoryMonteith for his courageous decision.  Get well soon my friend!  Proud of you!"

"Love u @CoryMonteith, so proud of you :)" McHale tweeted, while Riley expressed: "I support you big bro, love you to life. So proud of you

Twitter has led to celebrity fandemonium the likes of which we previously could never have fathomed. So it was that a strange case of mistaken identity led to a fan-crush-quadrangle involving Drake, Drake Bell, Amanda Bynes, and Rosie O’Donnell, all through the revealing medium of 140-character messages sent out into the Internet.

It all started when O’Donnell posted this seemingly straightforward message to Twitter last Tuesday:

In 2011, the actor, who has the support of his girlfriend and co-star Lea Michele while he seeks treatment, first went public about his past addiction. In an interview with Parade, he detailed his troubled teen years – which included abusing alcohol and drugs, and dropping out of high school at 16 – and noted he was "lucky to be alive."
