Time really does fly when you’re a Hollwood couple in love. After Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, co-stars on “The Vampire Diaries,” made their real-life relationship public last year with a PDA-filled weekend at the 2012 Coachella music festival. They’ve had a whirlwind 12 months of romance, rumours, and – yes – more PDA.

“Can someone please print out a life size picture of me (in a cute outfit) and take it to Coachella? So that I can be there in some capacity?” 25-year-old Dobrev tweeted on Saturday, as the 2013 edition of the festival took place in Indio, California.

“Coachella!!!! I miss you!!!! I'm so sad I won't see you!! Love, Ian” 34-year-old Somerhalder also tweeted.

But although the pair had to miss out on this anniversary, we can at least highlight their greatest couple moments of the last year.

Drake thinks Chris Brown is doing it wrong. His music, that is.

In a new interview with the radio program "Keep It Thoro," the Canadian "Doing It Wrong" singer slammed his nemesis' work and treatment of Rihanna.

"His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, that I'm more poppin' than him and that at one point in life the woman that he loves fell into my lap and I did what a real n----a would do and treated her with respect, so she's not there talking down on me," Drake said on Friday.

He may have played Brandon Walsh for 10 years on "Beverly Hills, 90210," but that doesn't mean Jason Priestley would have been friends with his most famous character. Quite the contrary, in fact.

The 43-year-old Canadian actor is currently playing a devilish lawyer in the David Mamet play "Race" during its Toronto run, but Priestley is still most commonly associated with his virtuous alter ego Brandon, whom he embodied on "90210" from 1990 to 2000. Yet Priestley has revealed in a new interview with The Globe and Mail that he prefers other characters he has played.

"Brandon was very one-dimensional, didn’t provide a lot of challenges, but also did not provide a lot of fun," Priestley said. "He was the social conscience of America."

How long did it take Chad Kroeger to realize he would marry Avril Lavigne? Just one date.

In a recent radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, the 38-year-old Nickelback frontman's fiancée admitted that Kroeger told her as much.

"We started dating, and the next day he was like, 'You know I'm gonna marry you.' And I said, 'I know,'" Lavigne said on Tuesday. "It was one of those things that we just knew."

It turns out that Oprah Winfrey is so admired, she can’t even order an omelette without changing someone’s life.

Winfrey was in Ottawa this week to continue her "An Evening With Oprah Winfrey" tour at the Scotiabank Place. On the morning of the show, Winfrey apparently wanted to start the day off right with a good breakfast at the Perspectives restaurant within the Brookstreet Hotel. And she just so happened to sit in the section of one of her biggest fans, Sherry Joy.

“She was all ‘ahhhhhh.' And I was like, ‘I just wanted an omelette. Calm down,’” Winfrey explained to the packed Scotiabank Place crowd of 15,000 people on Wednesday.

Rihanna hit the town on Sunday night at Greystone Manor in Hollywood, sporting a vintage Ottawa Senators hockey jersey – and only a vintage Ottawa Senators hockey jersey. Paired with gold Tom Ford heels and bright red toes and lips, she paraded and posed in the jersey/dress for photographers and on her Instagram feed. It was an outfit that you would never catch at the Scotiabank Place, and one that only the 25-year-old “Diamonds” singer could pull off …or so we thought.

Oprah Winfrey is famous for giving her fans free things, but she doesn't normally give away her own things. On Wednesday, however, during the Ottawa stop of An Evening With Oprah Winfrey, the 59-year-old media mogul kicked off her shoes and gifted them to one of the 15,000 people who had crowded into Scotiabank Place for her talk.

“Who wears a size 10½?” Winfrey reportedly asked after admitting that her feet were hurting in her stiletto heels. While several members of the crowd offered up their own shoes, she refused to take them — but she did give the purple Manolo Blahniks to ex-radio-host Sandy Sharkey.

Canadian playwright and actor Greg Kramer has passed away at the age of 51.

Canadian playwright Greg Kramer has died. The 51-year-old renaissance man (he was an actor, director, songwriter, and magician, according to the Globe and Mail) passed away on Monday, the day before his most high-profile play yet was set to start rehearsals.

Kramer was reportedly discovered at his apartment in Montreal after he failed to show up to rehearsals for "Sherlock Holmes," starring local actor Jay Baruchel in the titular role. Kramer was set to play Inspector Lestrade and rehearsals were shut down the day he was found.

"RIP Greg Kramer," tweeted Baruchel on Tuesday. "You will be missed and I will do my best to pay tribute to your words and the wonderful characters you put on the page."

Montreal police have reportedly ruled out foul play -- Kramer was HIV positive, had already fought cancer twice and had had one lung removed. He worked until the very end.
