They were already Sagkeeng's Finest, but now they're Canada's, too.

The jigging trio from Fort Alexander, Manitoba was the audience favourite in "Canada's Got Talent" and was crowned the first season's winner during Monday night's finale.

Brothers Dallas and Brandon Courchene and their dancemate Vince O'Laney were up against some stiff competition, including 12-year-old crowd-pleasing ballet dancer Shale Wagman. But it was Sagkeeng's Finest's routine, mixing their traditional jigging with elements of tap (a first for them), that nabbed them the grand prize: $100,000, a Nissan GT-R, a show in Las Vegas, and an appearance at the Citytv New Year's Eve bash.

"Sons of Anarchy" star Kim Coates is a motorcycle enthusiast both on his FX series and in real life, and the actor proved it by riding his Harley in Regina on Monday to protest the province's plans to cut film funding.

The 53-year-old Saskatoon native, better known to his fans as Tig, the überviolent Sergeant-at-Arms of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, led 75  motorcyclists from his hometown to Regina after flying into town despite the fact that his show started filming that very day.

It's been over a month since Quebec actress Genevieve Sabourin was arrested outside of Alec Baldwin's New York City apartment building, accused of stalking the "30 Rock" actor. But her lawyer now says it wasn't stalking at all.

"My client had a legitimate purpose for her efforts to contact Mr. Baldwin," said Maurice Sercarz in defense of his client, Sabourin, at a brief court appearance in New York yesterday. In addition to showing up to his home on April 8, she reportedly visited his property in the Hamptons uninvited and sent Baldwin numerous emails urging him to marry her and envisioning "creating Genevieve Baldwin." Less than a week before Sabourin's arrest, he became engaged to yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas.

Twelve acts from across the country gave a resounding answer to a question that has plagued Canadians for ages: Yes, it appears that Canada does have talent.

Just kidding; we knew that already. But still, the finalists of "Canada's Got Talent" put on quite a show Sunday night to win the viewers' votes for the grand prize of $100,000 in cash, a Nissan GT-R, a Las Vegas show, and a performance at the Citytv New Year's Eve special.

Over the season we've seen some folks with a wide variety of talent -- if you consider stapling things to your face a "talent" -- but the dancers were on fire last night.

She may have won over one man's heart by singing "Zou Bisou Bisou," but not all men remember Jessica Paré for her voice.

The Montreal actress, who plays Mrs. Draper on "Mad Men," recently told New York magazine's Vulture blog that it's her, let's say, revealing performance in 2010's "Hot Tub Time Machine" that seems to stick most in men's minds.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are quite possibly the cutest couple with blond locks on the red carpet, so it makes sense that their new love nest in the country has a similar golden shade.

Lively, the 24-year-old "Gossip Girl" star, bought the $2.3 million estate in Bedford, New York, in April. And she's sharing it with Reynolds, the 35-year-old, Canadian-born actor. We've been wondering about these new digs ever since, and now a few photos of the property have surfaced to help appease our curiosity and fuel our jealousy.

Only a few days after he announced he was leaving MTV, Canadian TV personality Daryn Jones already has a new gig. And it won't be a walk in the park -- rather, it will be a walk "Over the Rainbow."

At the CBC's announcement of its next television season on Thursday, Jones stepped up to announce he will be hosting the network's upcoming reality series "Over the Rainbow." The series will search Canada's musical theatre talent pool to find the next Dorothy in the stage production of "The Wizard of Oz," set for Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre. Premiering in September, the show's also literally going to the dogs, because Toto will need to be cast as well.

It's a good thing Cory Monteith's "Glee" character is graduating high school soon, because now that the actor is 30 years old, he's giving a whole new meaning to the word "senior."

The Canadian "Glee" star, who plays teen student Finn Hudson on the Fox series, spent the early-morning hours of his birthday on Friday shooting the last scene of the show's third season, in which he (luckily) graduates.

Monteith began on the show in early 2009, when he was 26, which doesn't even make him the oldest act0r to play a high school student onscreen.

Now we know what Toronto actress Nina Dobrev and her mom are having for Mother's Day brunch on Sunday: blueberry pancakes and a big glass of milk. Mustaches included.

The ad launches their "Like Her, Like Me" program with the "Got Milk?" campaign and Seventeen magazine, which is searching for three other mother-daughter teams that exemplify the impact of positive role models for both generations.

Kanye West kept up with Kim Kardashian yesterday, all the way to Toronto.

The 34-year-old rapper surprised fans by making a spontaneous appearance with his rumoured girlfriend Thursday at the Bay on Queen Street for the Canadian launch of her jewelry line, Belle Noel.

Kardashian, who wore a gold necklace from her spring collection, met with fans (one of whom reportedly showed up more than 14 hours in advance) when she made her grand entrance at the flagship store around 4:30 p.m.

While the 31-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star's main man arrived in the same SUV, he ran past his fans and the press and generally looked unhappy to be there.
