Jennifer Aniston's rumoured destination wedding matches her destination proposal.
Though it was recently announced that the "Wanderlust" star had accepted Justin Theroux's proposal earlier this month, U.K. magazine Heat now reports the duo actually got engaged in July while vacationing in Italy.
"They kept his proposal to themselves because they wanted to wait until he had the ring, and also they wanted to make a formal announcement when they were ready," a source told the mag. "Justin also wanted to tell his ex-girlfriend [Heidi Bivens] in person, so she didn't find out from the press."
In June, the happy couple took off on a European vacation, which took them from Paris to Rome and finally to the island of Capri, where they were photographed in July basking in the sun on a boat.
Aniston's rep released a statement to People last weekend that the 43-year-old actress and Theroux, her boyfriend of more than a year (they first met in 2007, but didn't start dating until last year), had gotten engaged on Aug. 10, which also happened to be the groom-to-be's birthday.
Though People and Us have reported that the couple may elope, sources close to Aniston are banking on a destination wedding in tropical climes. But one thing is certain: it will be nowhere near as lavish as her first wedding in 2000 to actor Brad Pitt, a $1 million affair with 200 guests.
