    • What's old is new again for Miley Cyrus, who has resurrected one of her former styles by bringing back her nose piercing! She's not the only person in the family sporting a new look though. Her brother, Trace Cyrus, made a bigger, bolder change to his rocker image with a massive — and we mean massive — new head tattoo.

After a bad start to the week because her latest movie, "LOL," was a major bust at the box office, Miley, 19, enjoyed a fun day out with her "Hunger Games" star boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, 22, on Thursday, during which they went shopping at American Apparel. ("Basic tee shopping spree," she tweeted). The singer-actress was dressed in a mint-colored floral kimono top and jeans, but it's her new nose ring that stood out. A silver hoop in her right nostril to be precise.

    • Twentysomething actors, such as "Scream 4's" Emma Roberts, "Glee's" Chord Overstreet, and Hollywood offspring Rumer Willis, made the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood the place to be Wednesday night, as they toasted Nylon magazine's annual Young Hollywood Issue. Roberts and Overstreet, who are reportedly dating again after being broken up for three months earlier this year, went casual chic. The stylish Roberts, 21, donned a black-and-white striped cocktail dress by Rachel Zoe, with her hair in curls, while 23-year-old Overstreet opted for a tough black leather jacket and T-shirt over jeans. If Overstreet was in a particularly celebratory mood, it was because Wednesday marked the final day of filming for the third season of "Glee."

When it was announced in 2010 that actor Andrew Garfield would be Spider-Man in a new series of movies, the obvious question was how Tobey Maguire, who played Spider-Man in the phenomenally successful trilogy about the comic book hero from 2002 to 2007 felt about the casting. Maguire reveals his reaction and offers some advice to the new Spidey in a conversation between the two featured in the new issue of VMAN magazine.

Maguire, 36, made it clear that he was a fan of Garfield, who appeared in "The Social Network" and "Never Let Me Go" before taking on the superhero role, from the start. "When it was coming together, I was particularly excited at two moments: one was when [director] Marc Webb got involved. I think he's an interesting and cool choice," Maguire says of the "(500) Days of Summer" filmmaker. "And then I was certainly curious as to who was going to play Peter Parker. When I heard it was you, I was literally like, f---ing perfect! I just want it to be great, and I thought, what a great actor Andrew is, I'm glad that's what's happening here."

    • Stewart at Coachella in April (Ben Dome/Nathanael Jones/PacificCoastNews.com)

It must be love! While some girls snag their boyfriend's favorite button-down shirt or perfectly broken-in sweatshirt, Kristen Stewart seems to have taken possession of Robert Pattinson's prized ball cap.

Since the British actor shot to stardom in the "The Twilight Saga," the status of his hair has made major headlines. ("It's long!" "It's short!" "It's … so pointy it could be used as a weapon!") But in his downtime, when he's trying to fly under the radar and not, say, get chased down the street by groups of screaming girls, Pattinson, 25, typically hides out under a baseball cap. And not just any cap — his favorite black Baltimore Orioles hat.

    • Justin Bieber has come a long way from "Baby"! The Canadian crooner, who turned 18 in March, debuted the video for his song "Boyfriend" last night. The clip, as promised in the sneak peeks he revealed earlier, has a more grown-up vibe than many of his videos, and features the Biebs with some adoring ladies and hot cars in a parking lot. Although there's a lot of online buzz about how it resembles boy band *NSYNC's video for the song "Girlfriend," Bieber revealed to MTV Thursday that he'd never even seen the 2002 clip. However, Bieber noted that Timberlake has been a big influence on him, particularly since J.T. was successful in transitioning from a teen idol to an artist who's also taken seriously by adults. "He was young, and he did it, and he was really amazing and had such amazing music," Bieber said. "I can't say that I would be upset when someone compares me to him."

    • Kacey Rohl stars in the new Flicka movie. (Sarjoun Faour Photography/Getty Images)

You might recognize actress Kelly Rohl from two very different projects. The 20-year-old Vancouver native plays the best friend of a dead teenage girl on AMC's dark series "The Killing," and a young girl whose father has died and forms a strong bond with a horse in the family-friendly "Flicka: Country Pride," which was released on DVD this week. But, as Rohl sees it, while the two might not hang out together, they do have something in common. "They're similar in that they feel really guilty for deaths that aren't really their fault," she tells omg!. And off-screen, they were both a lot of fun for the up-and-coming starlet to make.

    • 5 ways One Direction can beat the competition

      Hagen Hopkins/Getty Images

As the world prepares for the second season of the U.S. version of "The X Factor," bossman Simon Cowell has his sights set on one act in particular: He wants to find the next big boy band to rival ubiquitous U.K. newcomers One Direction.

Pop music is experiencing a boy band revival, with One Direction and fellow U.K. group The Wanted leading the pack. According to Cowell, that leaves plenty of room for an American group to step into the ring -- and that's exactly what he predicts will happen in soon. Unsurprisingly, Cowell wants to be the one to find them and sculpt them, like he did with One Direction.

But can the British boys keep up with the competition? Boy bands come and go, and the battle for girls' hearts is intense. Here are a a few ways Harry, Louis, Niall, Zayn, and Liam can stay on top.

    • The day that fans of "Glee," aka Gleeks, have been waiting for (or maybe dreading) is quickly approaching: McKinley High's graduation. Of course, this means that the characters played by Cory Monteith, Lea Michele, and Chris Colfer will be leaving New Directions. Monteith, who in the grand tradition of much-older actors playing high school students will actually turn 30 on May 12, recently spoke to "Access Hollywood" about the soon-to-be filmed episode in which he'll don a cap and gown. The graduation ceremony will be particularly special to Monteith, because as a teen, he struggled with drugs and ultimately quit school. "It's surreal having never worn [a cap and gown] beforehand," Monteith said, adding that he and the other graduates will definitely return to "Glee" next season.

Is it wrong to be slightly afraid of an 11-year-old? Because Willow Smith is all attitude in her new video for "Do It Like Me (Rockstar)," and we're definitely intimidated.

Already the almighty ruler of the playground, Willow sets her eyes on bigger lands to conquer in the video -- specifically Paris, New York, and London. She sports a mohawk on rooftops, in front of the Arc de Triomphe, in a subway station, on a Parisian bridge, and in a dingy underground dance hall (you have to squint to see the kiddo amid the full-grown adult backup dancers). Edgy sunglasses, a studded leather jacket, and various fashion-forward outfits actually make her fit into her backdrops and make us feel infinitely uncool in comparison.

Then, older bro Jaden makes a subtle cameo at about the 2:55 mark, just to remind us that Willow has swagger flowing through her veins and her family tree.

    • Chloe Moretz will play the new Carrie. (Ben Gabbe/WireImage)

Don't be surprised if you see Chloe Moretz wearing the same prom-style dress for weeks on end very soon. The 15-year-old actress from "Kick-Ass" and "Hugo" will likely just be preparing for her role as the title character in the upcoming remake of the 1976 classic horror film "Carrie." The movie, which is based on Stephen King's 1974 book, is about a bullied teenage girl with telekinetic powers that she uses to get revenge on her classmates by sending their high school up in flames during the prom. To get into the mindset of the character, Moretz said she's planning to create the dress for the climactic scene, in which Carrie's supposed to be wearing a homemade gown, all by herself. "One of my ideas for the character was to actually go and make my own dress, and I'm actually using my friend's old drapes ... and I'm going to sew it and everything," she told MTV News. "And I'm actually going to go out and wear it for a few weeks. I'm sure you guys are going to get some great, lovely photos of me walking down the street in some weird A-line thing, but it will be good. It will put me in [the frame of mind of the character.]"
