    • James Franco (Joe Scarnici/WireImage)

Robert Pattinson had better watch out! Another hot Hollywood actor is a fan of his girlfriend Kristen Stewart. James Franco, 34, gushed about the actress in a column he penned for Huffington Post about her new movie "Snow White and the Huntsman." In a piece called "Kristen Stewart the Queen," Franco, who was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in 2010's "127 Hours," compared Stewart's life to that of the fairy tale princess she plays in the film. "Snow White is imprisoned in a tower for about a decade — let's say from age eight to 18. Some might argue that Stewart — or any young upstart buoyed by the surge of a successful franchise, album, or Internet meme — is just as unjustly charmed. Some could say she had a lucky break when she was cast in 'Twilight' and then rose to international stardom based less on her own skills than on the success of the project," Franco wrote. "But, whereas Snow White would more than likely be inarticulate, diseased and frail after being confined in a tower for 10 years, Kristen Stewart landed Twilight after years of working with some of the best directors in the business (David Fincher, Sean Penn). She actually does deserve the crown."

    • Gomez covers Elle. (Carter Smith/ELLE)

Justin Bieber is certainly a heartbreaker, but according to his girlfriend of over a year, Selena Gomez, he also has a soft, sweet side. But we already guessed that after he rented out the entire Staples Center in Los Angeles — which is big enough to house 20,000 people — in September so he and his gal pal could have a private romantic date and screen the Leonardo DiCaprio-Kate Winslet classic, "Titanic." In the July issue of Elle, Gomez reveals a little more about the memorable night. "If I'll share anything with you, it's that he really is a hopeless romantic. I had just mentioned it in the car — all I said is that I really want to see 'Titanic' again, and then…"

When Miley Cyrus arrived on the set of her movie "The Last Song" in the summer of 2009, she ended up with a lot more than a non-Disney role. The then-16-year-old actress and singer, who was best known to tween girls and their parents as the star of "Hannah Montana," found more than someone to share the screen with in co-star Liam Hemsworth, an Australian actor who was at the time 19. On Wednesday, Cyrus, now 19, and Hemsworth, 22, announced they are engaged to be married, following a very public three-year relationship that hasn't always been perfect.

Their romance began on the Georgia set of "The Last Song," which writer Nicholas Sparks of "The Notebook" and "Dear John" fame wrote specifically for Cyrus. "Hannah Montana" was set to end by the following year, and the star was ready to take on more grown-up projects. She described her first encounter with Hemsworth during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in 2010: "I was actually going through a tough time," said Cyrus, who broke up with her long-distance boyfriend, model Justin Gatson, just before filming began. "I was like, guys just need to be out of my life for a little while. [I thought] 'I just need to be alone.' But I met him, and he opened the door for me, and I was like, I have been in L.A. for three years and I don't think any guy has actually opened the door for me. It wasn't that he wanted the job. That's just who he is. I was like, 'Wow, that is super-impressive.' I actually turned to the director and said, 'He's got the job.' He's hot and he opened the door. Excellent." By August 2009, Hemsworth had the job as Cyrus' real-life boyfriend, too! She and Hemsworth were captured by photographers kissing off-set.

Miley Cyrus has announced her engagement to her boyfriend of three years, Liam Hemsworth. But, at 19 years old, is she too young to tie the knot?

Not necessarily -- not if you think about how fast the "Can't Be Tamed" singer has grown up. Only eight years ago, Cyrus was plucked from obscurity to became a teen megastar in the TV series "Hanna Montana." And she was only 11!

If that weren't enough, the singer-actress also proved to be a multitalented multitasker, releasing her first album, "Meet Miley Cyrus," at the tender age of 15. In 2007 and 2008, she launched her first world tour, the Best of Both Worlds Tour, with tickets in the U.S. and Canada selling out within minutes.

At that time, Cyrus began marketing herself as an adult. She took on her first "more serious" role in the romantic drama "The Last Song," which is where she met Hemsworth, whom she called her "first serious boyfriend." Also in 2008, Cyrus released an apology after appearing topless (but wrapped in a sheet) in a Vanity Fair photo shoot. She was reportedly only 15 when celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz took the infamous shot.

    • Emma Watson is moving on. (Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

As fans of the annual MTV Movie Awards would expect, Sunday's show featured awards for the latest "Twilight" movie (two this year), buzzy moments (Christian Bale teared up onstage following a video montage with the late Heath Ledger), and musical performances (fun.'s "We Are Young" opened the show). As has become the tradition, awards night also marked the premiere of the trailer for a much-anticipated new film. This time, it was one of Emma Watson's first post-"Harry Potter" projects: "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." Logan Lerman ("Percy Jackson") and Ezra Miller ("We Need to Talk About Kevin") star alongside Watson as a trio of misfit high school students. The three become best friends coming of age in the movie based on the 1999 Stephen Chbosky novel of the same name. The book's not exactly kiddie fare; The American Library Association named it to its list of the 10 most frequently challenged titles as recently as 2009. The reasons given most often are that it's "anti-family, [features] drugs, homosexuality, offensive language, religious viewpoint, sexually explicit, suicide, unsuited to age group."

    • Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, and Lucy Hale plot. (ABC FAMILY/ERIC MCCANDLESS)

When we last saw the impossibly attractive cast of ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars," the show's big mystery was solved when the identity of "A," who had long blackmailed the girls, was revealed. A series regular was also killed off the show. We won't spoil the surprise in case it's still on your DVR. But you'd better watch it soon, because the upcoming third season is about dealing with the fallout from both events, as well as finding out who else, if anyone, was involved in the "A" plot. To get a sneak peek of the new season, which premieres June 5, omg! paid a visit to the cast on the show's set in Burbank, California, while they were filming the seventh episode. Unfortunately, the group was tight-lipped about their latest adventures, but they did promise that this would be the series' darkest season yet, with the characters finding themselves in more physical danger. Troian Bellisario, 25, who plays Spencer, explained that "the show is going into new territory. We're definitely going deeper and darker into how twisted Rosewood is as a community." Shay Mitchell, the 25-year-old who portrays Emily, noted that fans should get ready to be shocked, even if they think they know what's coming based on the photos posted on the "Pretty Little Liars" Twitter account. "Let me just say that whatever we post online sometimes, these photos, maybe they're to trick you."

While the cast was secretive about the show, they did offer up a few fun facts about themselves:

    • Blake Lively is ready to leave Gossip Girl behind. (Michael N. Todaro/FilmMagic)

For the audience, watching "Gossip Girl" is like eating cotton candy — devoid of nutrition but oh-so delicious! Yes, we love it, but let's just say it's not wining any Emmy awards — or even nominations — anytime soon. Now Blake Lively, who's played Serena van der Woodsen, one of the show's leading ladies since it began in 2007, is acknowledging in a new interview that the teen sudser is not her finest performance. The 24-year-old, who's dating "The Proposal" star Ryan Reynolds, talks with Bullett magazine about her feelings heading into the show's sixth and final season. "I think the best way to describe it is like someone who really enjoyed high school, and is like, I'm a senior and I can't wait for the next thing!" Lively says. "'Gossip Girl' was so great, but what's the next challenge in life? Because, you know, six years is a long time. And as an actor who plays a caricature of myself on the show, I don't think I'd say, 'Watch 'Gossip Girl' for my best quality of work.' But I am very lucky to have had that experience."

    • Miley looks happy with Happy. (RS/X17online.com)

Miley Cyrus' new puppy is one lucky dog! A week after her rescue pup Happy accompanied her on a trip to Miami, the star had the pampered pooch cradled in her arm while running errands in Studio City yesterday.

Dressed in a black-and-white skeleton-inspired mini-dress and carrying a leopard-print bag, the 19-year-old went shopping and grabbed a bite to eat with Happy in tow. During the excursion, Miley logged lots of snuggle time with the dog, a possible Rottweiler-beagle mix, whom she rested on her shoulder and nuzzled while she walked.

Happy joined Miley's pooch posse earlier this month after the actress found the dog abandoned in a box at Walmart and brought him home. Just two weeks later, she and her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, adopted another dog, Mary Jane, bringing her total canine count up to five, including her other dogs Lila, Floyd, and Ziggy.

    • Zac Efron dons Dolce & Gabbana at The Paperboy premiere at Cannes. (Dave M. Benett/Getty Images)

Fans got their first glimpse of former "High School Musical" star Zac Efron steaming up the screen in Nicholas Sparks' romantic drama "The Lucky One" in April, but as it turns out, that was just a warm-up for his sexy new role in the movie "The Paperboy." The film, directed by Lee Daniels, producer of Oscar-winning movies "Monster's Ball" and "Precious" and the director of "Precious," was screened at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday. Set in Florida in 1969, the movie features Efron as the younger brother of Matthew McConaughey, a journalist who's returned to his family home to investigate whether a man (played by John Cusack) was wrongly sent to death row. Actress Nicole Kidman plays the woman that Efron's character loves, although her character is obsessed with the inmate. She was described by one reviewer as "an oversexed Barbie."

However, it's Efron, 24, who is decidedly stripped-down for the film. Singer Macy Gray, who plays a maid in the movie, estimated that, "[Efron] was in his underwear half the time." At Cannes, director Daniels joked that Efron's barely-there clothing was his choice. "He's a good-looking guy," Daniels said. "And I'm gay. What do you want?"
