Katie Holmes says no more swag for Suri

Ever since Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise announced their split, it all looked peachy keen for the newly-single mother and Hollywood's toddler queen, Suri. But now that Katie's ruling the roost on her own, it looks like Suri's fashion reign is over!

Reports are saying that Holmes has decided that the super-stylish six-year-old just doesn't need high heels. Or designer labels. Or or a 1,000-square-foot dressing room. Or lipstick. Imagine the pout!

The change comes mostly from Suri's switch from homeschooling to the private Catholic school Convent of the Sacred Heart in Manhattan's Upper East Side. That means one thing: uniforms. There, Suri can be just like any other six-year-old whose parents can afford $40,000 a year in tuition, which is all part of Katie's plan to give her little one a more "normal" childhood.

We're not sure how "normal" a childhood can be when Tom Cruise is still your father. Byut that's Katie's plan and she's sticking to it. Not even free high heels or couture dresses are allowed, as a source told Revel magazine:

"Katie has been returning unsolicited gifts and loans from designers for Suri since she arrived in New York. She's issued instructions to remove Suri from all freebie lists. She's also put the word out in L.A. to stop any mini-me diva products being sent her way. Tom loved to spoil Suri and indulge her, but Katie has other ideas."

All the power to you Katie! We can only imagine the temper tantrums to ensue.
