Look — Gwyneth Paltrow is walking!

Just days after making headlines for having a chauffeur drive her four doors down the street (a 10-second ride), the actress and her 7-year-old daughter, Apple Martin, pounded the pavement during a shopping excursion Thursday. The actress and her look-alike offspring visited a handful of stores in West Hollywood, including Maxfield boutique. Looks like their mission was successful as Paltrow, 39, carried a bag full of goodies out of the store.

    • Ashlee and Bronx in NYC (RS/X17online.com)

It looks like the world will have to wait a little longer for the arrival of Jessica Simpson's baby. Earlier today, Ashlee Simpson, younger sister of the "Fashion Star" mentor, touched down in New York City with her 3-year-old son, Bronx Wentz. They are in the Big Apple for a visit — perhaps to spend time with Ashlee's boyfriend "Boardwalk Empire" star Vincent Piazza, who resides there — making it seem highly unlikely that her famous sister will be giving birth anytime soon.

Ashlee, 27, and her curly-haired cutie were all smiles after their cross-country flight. In the series of photos of the twosome, they were dressed in color-coordinated outfits — mostly darker hues of black and gray — and Bronx, whose dad is Ashlee's ex-husband Pete Wentz, clutched a Lego toy. Later, he rested his head on her shoulder for a nap.

As one of the highest-paid celebrities in the world, Madonna can afford the greatest luxuries for her children — the best nannies, tutors, and schools that money can buy — but it doesn't mean she doesn't run into the same parenting problems as ordinary folks. Recently, her eldest daughter Lourdes, 15, was photographed smoking a cigarette outside her New York City high school, something that didn't go over well with mama Madonna.

When she saw the photo, "[I] wasn't very happy," the 53-year-old singer says on Wednesday's "Rock Center," a preview of which aired on the "Today" show this morning. "It's hard [being a parent] — every day is a negotiation. But cigarette smoking I'm not very fond of — for anyone. I don't approve of anyone smoking cigarettes — most of all my daughter."

    • Michelle Williams and Matilda: Girls’ day out

Michelle Williams may be spending time with new boyfriend Jason Segel lately, but her permanent sidekick is and will always be her daughter Matilda Ledger, 6. The gals were all over their Brooklyn, New York neighborhood earlier this week — doing some shopping and hitting a local coffee shop. At one point Matilda, who clearly likes to dress herself in a potpourri of colors (red top, burgundy skirt, blue tights, and pink shoes), was seen hot-footing it on her prized scooter. Later, she was holding a book, which surely must delight Williams, 31, who is an avid reader and has said she falls asleep with a stack of books next to her.

A lot has changed for Robert Downey Jr. over the last decade or so. The once-troubled actor got divorced, got sober, got married again, got his career back, got cast in some seriously successful films, and — perhaps in the biggest change of all — got to become a father again at age 46. The "Iron Man" star, who turned 47 on April 4, talked to GQ just three weeks after his wife of more than six years, 38-year-old film producer Susan, gave birth to their son Exton in February.

"There was all this trepidation, all this projection, all this anticipation and goodwill and a good vibe about it," he explains of the time leading up to Exton's birth. "But what you're squeezing to the side — or what's in the glove box — is these thousands of forms of fear. And then he was born and they've all just kind of scattered now. It seems like he's always been here. "

But Downey — who's also father to 18-year-old son Indio with ex-wife Deborah Falconer — admits in the May issue that he isn't in

    • Padma Lakshmi’s Daughter Gets a Buzz Cut

Padma and Krishna in NYC (Hector Vallenilla/PacificCoastNews.com)

Padma Lakshmi's daughter has a new look! The host and judge of Bravo's "Top Chef" was out and about with her 2-year-old daughter, Krishna Lakshmi-Dell, over the weekend and the little girl was sporting a buzz cut.

During their day out in New York City on Saturday, Lakshmi carried Krishna, who sported a brightly decorated vest and some stylish motorcycle boots. The duo appeared to be headed to or from a party, toting a gift bag. No official word as to why Lakshmi's daughter got a crop top, but there is a Hindu tradition in which the hair of a child gets shaved to cleanse them of negativity from past lives. This typically happens within their first few years of life, so Krishna's cut would be right on target.

Connecting her daughter with her culture appears to be very important to the single mom, who previously was photographed with the girl while dressed in matching traditional Indian garb and wearing bindis.

Though she's only 2, Krishna's life has already been pretty

Following the birth of her son in March, the actress tweeted an oh-so-adorable photo of the little guy's feet. Then she posted a solo shot of the wide-eyed baby swaddled in a star-covered blanket. Now she's sharing a group shot of the entire Comrie family.

In the black and white photo that is now her Twitter profile picture, Duff and her husband, retired NHL star Mike Comrie, are sitting on a couch with the glowing new mom cradling the baby in her arms. Little Luca is actually in a slightly awkward pose—a hazard of floppy-headed infants.

Duff has been using Twitter as a modern day baby book. In addition to the photos, she shares observations of motherhood, including, "No better feeling that a peaceful baby sleeping on your chest...wonder what he's dreaming about?" and "It's wild to read all of these children's books again! So many of them relate to adult like...deeep!" Also, following a trip out, she wrote: "Nice to get away for an hour to do something good for myself!

There was a collective groan when it was reported that Levi Johnston is expecting a baby with his new girlfriend, but one person in particular was genuinely hurt: the mother of his first child, Bristol Palin. Although the exes have not been a couple since August 2010, the news was no less stinging for the reality star. In an exclusive interview with In Touch, Palin, 21, reveals she first heard about Johnston's new baby with girlfriend Sunny Oglesby when a friend texted her. "I said, 'No way, shut up!'" she tells the magazine, adding that her emotions are a mix of sadness, anger, and disgust. "I think it's a little bit of everything, and a lot of confusion. I'm upset about it."

    • Burke is a busy woman. (Paul Redmond/WireImage)

Although "Dancing With the Stars" is a fun show to watch, that's not always the case on the other side of the camera. Long hours practicing, paired with sore feet and lots of nerves can sometimes manifest into meltdowns. Case in point: Jaleel White's reported blow-up at pro partner Kym Johnson after he accidentally stepped on her foot in practice last week. "You know, there's always controversy and always drama," Brooke Burke, who co-hosts "Dancing With the Stars" with Tom Bergeron, tells omg!. "And I think this is because the emotions run so deep and everybody's vulnerable and out of their comfort zone, so there's always bound to be pressure and stress. I'm sure we'll see some of that this season."

Despite the drama, Burke thinks this season's contestants are "the best we've ever had," she adds, noting that the 9 out of 10 scores Katherine Jenkins and White both received in the premiere was the first time anyone had done so during their first dance. "I think the level of dancing this season is higher than we've ever had. It'll be really interesting to see how everybody evolves."
