Mariska Hargitay and her husband, Peter Hermann, brought along a very special "plus one" to the Central Park Conservancy's Annual Playground Party on Wednesday: their one-year-old daughter, Amaya.
The couple appeared smitten with their little girl, whom they adopted just over a year ago. While milling around the event at Heckscher Playground, they gave Amaya — who was dressed in a red dress and white shoes — kisses on her cheek and cuddled her between them. Activities at the event, for which Hargitay was the honorary chairperson, included glitter tattoos, face-painting, and cupcake decorating.
Hargitay and Hermann's family experienced a baby boom in 2011. Just six months after bringing home Amaya, they also adopted a baby boy named Andrew, who will turn one this summer. "They'll lie in the crib together, and she'll hold his hand and put her arm around him," Hargitay told People of her two little ones. "She's already so protective of him."Read More »from Mariska Hargitay and Amaya play in Central Park
