    • Mariska Hargitay and Amaya play in Central Park

Mariska Hargitay and her husband, Peter Hermann, brought along a very special "plus one" to the Central Park Conservancy's Annual Playground Party on Wednesday: their one-year-old daughter, Amaya.

The couple appeared smitten with their little girl, whom they adopted just over a year ago. While milling around the event at Heckscher Playground, they gave Amaya — who was dressed in a red dress and white shoes — kisses on her cheek and cuddled her between them. Activities at the event, for which Hargitay was the honorary chairperson, included glitter tattoos, face-painting, and cupcake decorating.

Hargitay and Hermann's family experienced a baby boom in 2011. Just six months after bringing home Amaya, they also adopted a baby boy named Andrew, who will turn one this summer. "They'll lie in the crib together, and she'll hold his hand and put her arm around him," Hargitay told People of her two little ones. "She's already so protective of him."

    • Jennifer Garner and Seraphina’s ice cream social

With three children under the age of six at home, including a newborn, it's hard to make one-on-one time for each child, but Jennifer Garner was able to enjoy a girls' day out with daughter Seraphina — and it appeared to be delicious fun.

The actress enjoyed an ice cream date with the 3-year-old at the Brentwood Country Mart in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The little girl clearly has a passion for pink. She was dressed in the hue from tip to toe, and was animated, swinging her arms around as her mom carried her to make their purchase. The twosome sat outside while Seraphina snacked on her cone and Garner, 40, sprayed her daughter's head with kisses.

Earlier in the day, the busy mom brought Samuel, her son who was just born in February, to a doctor's office in Pacific Palisades. On the way out, she played peek-a-boo with the baby, who was resting comfortably in his stroller.

    • It’s a boy for Snooki!

Snooki is having a baby boy

Snooki will soon have a new man in her life. The "Jersey Shore" star is expecting a baby boy!

The reality TV star, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, has announced that she and her fiancé, Jionni LaValle, will be having a son when that little meatball arrives late this summer.

The news that she's having a boy actually caught Snooki off guard. Her personal hunch was that she was expecting a girl, so she was initially disappointed. "Everyone said I was going to have a boy, and they were right!" Snooki told In Touch. "I thought it was going to be a girl. I was hoping it would be, because all girls want girls." However, she added: "It's still my baby, no matter what. I'm excited either way!"

    • Megan steps out in L.A. (Limelight Pics)

Is Megan Fox the next Hollywood mommy-to-be? The "Jonah Hex" actress, who turned 26 on May 16, appears to be sporting a baby bump in a photograph taken of her on Wednesday in Los Angeles. Her publicist didn't immediately respond to omg!'s request for comment. In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" earlier this month, one of Fox's handlers stopped an interview when the subject turned to babies. And the brunette beauty's husband, actor Brian Austin Green, whom she married in June 2010 after dating him on and off for six years, has also been mum on the subject. When asked in early May whether there was any truth to the rumors that the two were expecting, Green, 38, told People only that, "They've been saying that every three months ever since we got married, and it's sort of one of those things that they love to say." Several news websites have already reported that Fox and Green are expecting a bundle of joy, citing inside sources. Star magazine has reported that another unidentified source revealed Fox is having a girl.

    • Kate on the Today show (NBC Universal)

Kate Gosselin appeared on the "Today" show Monday and said something we absolutely positively never expected to hear come from her lips: She and her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, are getting along!

Yes — you read that correctly. Kate and Jon have made nice.

The mom of eight was on the NBC morning show to talk about her new gig as a coupon blogger, and also offered up the shocking news that she and Jon — whose marriage imploded while filming their TLC reality series "Jon and Kate Plus 8" — are now on friendly terms. "I can honestly say it's more peaceful than it's ever been," said the 37-year-old single mom. "I feel that a very big weight has been lifted off my shoulders." So what changed? "He's really been positive and more available and it's just less stressful. I feel that he's been working with me more, and the kids notice it. And that's good. Because I've always just wanted that peace for them and we're finally to a point where it's happening... I can take that emotional energy that was wasted in that areas and put it back towards the kids."

    • Jenner still eats his Wheaties. (Jeff Minton)

He's the least ubiquitous of the Kardashians, and for that Bruce Jenner deserves (another) medal. Esquire bestows the legendary Olympian with the title of "Father of the Year" in its June issue, along with a profile that gives a glimpse into what it's like to be a man that made his name due to his hard work and dedication in his early life, only to end up in his 60s as the invisible patriarch of a family famous for, well, a sex tape. As the magazine's writer describes, the reality TV family's sprawling Calabasas, California, home is decorated to honor its show ponies: Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie (the latter two daughters are his with wife Kris Jenner). "There is no red singlet in a frame; his gold medal is nowhere to be found. For the most part, Bruce Jenner, Olympian, has been banished to the garage."

    • Theron and Jacks in Madrid (INFphoto.com)

When Charlize Theron said it had been her longtime dream to adopt a baby, the new mom wasn't exaggerating. In fact, 28 years ago — when the South African-born actress was just 8 years old — she told her own mother she wanted to adopt.

"My mother found [a letter I wrote]. It said, 'Would you please take me to orphanage, so that I can go and adopt a baby?'" the "Snow White and the Huntsman" star tells the Australian magazine Madison. "I always knew I would adopt. Always."

Enter Jackson Theron, who she calls "Jacks," the baby boy she brought home earlier this year following a domestic adoption. Theron adopted her son as a solo parent after ending a long-term relationship with Irish actor Stuart Townsend in 2010, though she has recently been linked to "True Blood" star Alexander Skarsgard, with whom she is said to be casually dating. "You know, I don't think any mother aims to be a single mom. I didn't wish for that, but it happened."

Not every woman can be like Victoria Beckham and back down to a size 0 just weeks after giving birth. These days in Hollywood, a lot of pressure is put on its female stars to snap back into shape in an incredibly unreasonable amount of time, especially considering that it takes nine months to gain the weight. The latest example of this is Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai — dubbed The Most Beautiful Woman in the World — who is being slammed by critics in India for not upholding her "duty" of returning to her pre-baby figure nearly six months after she gave birth to daughter Aaradhya.

"Aishwarya is like a goddess," explains Indian columnist Shobhaa Dé. "She is held up as the ideal of beauty and so there is an expectation on her to look perfect at all times." But not everyone has been so tactful when discussing the weighty matter. Some detractors have posted videos online depicting photos of Rai, 38, pre and post-baby with elephant sounds playing in the background. "She is a Bollywood actress and it is her duty to look good and fit," one commenter blasted, while another wrote that the L'Oreal model, who was Miss World 1994, "needs to learn from people like Victoria Beckham who are back to size zero weeks after their delivery."

    • Travolta and Preston. (Michael Tran/FilmMagic)

John Travolta really wants us to forget about the many, many men who have come forward and charged him with sexual battery over the past few weeks and remember that he is a married family man. So on Mother's Day, he posted a video "gift" he made for his wife of 21 years, Kelly Preston, on his personal website with the message that she was so "happy" with it, "we wanted to share it with you." The four-and-a-half-minute video — set to the Barbara Streisand song, "That Face" — is a montage of personal photos (and a few paparazzi shots) of the couple over the years and their children, Jett, who died in 2009 at age 16, Ella, 12, and Benjamin, 19 months. At the end, a note saying, "Happy Mother's Day! With all my love, Johnny," flashes on screen.

    • The Maddens hit the zoo in Sydney. (Grey Wasp/Blue Wasp/Splash News)

Wearing a hat perhaps inspired by the movie "Crocodile Dundee," Nicole Richie brought her family on a wildlife adventure in Australia on Tuesday. And, no, they weren't in the Outback. The "Fashion Star" mentor, her rocker-husband, Joel Madden, and their kiddos visited the Toronga Zoo in Sydney, where they got up close and personal with some of the furry residents.

The family was accompanied by a handful of friends for their guided tour. They checked out giraffes, feeding one a carrot, and Richie, 30, played shutterbug, snapping photos throughout the excursion. For the special event, Harlow, 4, fittingly wore an owl T-shirt, while Sparrow, 2, had on a Baltimore Orioles cap — a nod to his father's favorite team.
