Tom Cruise said he would visit his daughter Suri as soon as he wrapped filming "Oblivion," and on Monday, just days after he finished, he flew overnight straight to New York City to see his little girl. The "Mission: Impossible" star was spotted carrying the 6-year-old — who he has not seen since weeks before Katie Holmes filed for divorce on June 29 — on Tuesday morning into The Greenwich Hotel, where he'll be staying the next couple of days instead of at the apartment he and Holmes shared during their marriage (Holmes and Suri have since moved into their own place). Although it was reported that Cruise wanted to see his daughter in a neutral location, the actress, 33, apparently wants to keep Suri on a schedule to make the divorce easier on her. And the doting dad is doing just that: Later in the day, he's set to bring her to her usual gymnastics class at Chelsea Piers, according to TMZ.

Cruise, 50, didn't come alone on the trip. His sister Cass, who has accompanied the

    • Suri Cruise pouted after being told she wouldn't be getting a puppy. (WireImage)

How much is that doggie in the window? For Katie Holmes, it didn't actually matter. Her daughter, Suri Cruise, wasn't going to get the adorable Yorkshire Terrier-Maltese mix she was eyeing at a Manhattan pet store over the weekend. And 6-year-old Suri clearly wasn't happy about her mom's decision, prompting the pout that's now being seen round the world.

And who can blame the little girl for being bummed? After Suri clearly got the bad news that the little fluffball wouldn't be coming home with her, the pet store employee continued to dangle the precious pup in front of her. By the time Katie and Suri got back in their car, poor Suri was in full-blown tears.

Could it be that Katie feels that her and Suri's lives are simply too in flux these days to throw a four-legged friend into the mix right now? Less than three weeks ago the 33-year-old former "Dawson's Creek" star filed for divorce from her husband of nearly six years, mega-star Tom Cruise. Since then, details have

It's a bittersweet day for Kelsey Grammer and his wife Kayte. In the early hours of Friday morning, the couple welcomed a daughter, Faith Evangeline Elisa, who weighed in at 6 pounds, 2 ounces. "We are thrilled," the couple announced in a statement. "Mother and child are in excellent health." The happy news also came with a heavy heart since Kayte lost the son she was also carrying shortly after she and the "Boss" star revealed their double joy earlier this year. "This was not something we cared to make known publicly at the time," Grammer, 57, and Kayte, 31, added. "It was unspeakably painful and we know that people will understand our desire to keep the news private then, as we know they will respect our privacy in this matter now. A glorious birth with a lingering sadness is ours today. We choose to celebrate the life that has been given us. We proudly introduce our Faith to the world today looking forward to the days ahead and the children yet to come."

It's getting serious between "How I Met Your Mother's" Jason Segel and Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams! The proof is in a pic snapped Wednesday as Segel, 32, strolled hand-in-hand with Williams' 6-year-old daughter Matilda in NYC. Williams, 31, who's scheduled to appear at Comic-Con in San Diego this week to promote her "Wizard of Oz" prequel "Oz: The Great and Powerful," was nowhere to be seen. However, Segel and Matilda, Williams' daughter with the late Heath Ledger, appeared to be a content twosome, smiling and chatting as they walked around the Big Apple.

The unlikely romance between Segel and Williams — she seems so serious and he's known as a bit of a goofball — began in March, after they were introduced by Williams' former "Dawson's Creek" co-star and Segel's former "Freaks and Geeks" co-star Busy Philipps. So far, the two have been fairly mum on their relationship, but a Segel source revealed to Us Weekly in June that the couple are "totally in love." Segel, the source added, was becoming a family man, "doing all sorts of 'dad stuff' with [Matilda], like drawing and playing music."

      1. Actor Jack Black was the one who revealed to the world that Jolie was pregnant with not one, but two babies.

While in Cannes promoting their animated movie "Kung Fu Panda" in May 2008, the two sat down with Natalie Morales for a "Today" show interview. When the conversation turned to the fact that Jolie, Morales, and Black's wife, Tanya, were all expecting, Black turned to Jolie and said: "You're going to have as many as 'Brady Bunch' when you have these." Morales quickly jumped on the slip: "So is that confirmed? Is it two?" she asked. "Well Jack just confirmed it actually," Jolie laughed, as a look of terror came across Black's face. "Is that true?" he asked. "Yeah, you did!" Jolie giggled. "Oh, man," Black said putting his hand to his face. "Sorry." Well, the world was going to find out soon enough anyway, Jack.

Has songstress Adele been hiding her pregnancy for a whopping seven months? If you believe a new report, then yep, she sure has.

Though the Grammy-winning singer just announced she was pregnant with her first child less than two weeks ago, a British gossip site called HeatWorld.com is citing an "insider" who says that the 24-year-old is actually due to give birth in September, and has been keeping a very big secret since the beginning of the year.

"Adele has barely left the house in recent months, so she could keep this to herself for as long as possible," the source told the site. "She stopped exercising a few months ago, and since then it's been all about the baby."

    • Wilkinson. (STARPICZ / Splash News), Simpson. (Splash News)

No one knows the public scrutiny of trying to lose the extra baby weight that Jessica Simpson is currently facing more than Kendra Wilkinson. After the Playmate-turned-reality star welcomed son Hank IV in December 2009, she struggled to shed the 60 pounds she put on during pregnancy and regain the sexy shape (and those abs!) that made her famous as one of Hugh Hefner's three girlfriends on E!'s "Girls Next Door." "I looked in the mirror and I said, 'I'm fat,'" Wilkinson told ABC News last year when discussing her battle with not only trying to drop the baby weight but postpartum depression as well. So she is especially sensitive to the microscope Simpson is under as she tries to lose the more than 70 pounds she reportedly gained while pregnant with daughter Maxwell Drew.

"That just breaks my heart," Wilkinson, 27, tells omg! from Yahoo!. "I feel for her. I was in the same boat. People just need to mind their own business. That's a woman who just gave birth. Her first priority right now is her child. Her first priority is not losing the weight. You should be proud of her for that. A lot of people just dump their kids off at nannies and lose the weight overnight. We should all be proud of her for being real and taking control and making priorities."
