Jennifer Garner made a radiant return to red carpet at the premiere of "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" on Monday night. The actress — who had largely been out of the spotlight following the birth of son Samuel in February — generated big buzz for her attention-grabbing red Lanvin dress. But the following day it was back to business for the busy mom — business being raising her young brood.

On Tuesday, the 40-year-old brought her three children — also including Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3 — to Baskin-Robbins in Pacific Palisades, California. No designer dress this time, Garner was dressed practically in jeans and a long sleeve tie-dye shirt. The multitasking mom was busy attending to her needy newborn Samuel as well as trying to convince her tiny dancer Seraphina — clad in a ballerina outfit — to hold her hand as they walked to the car.

    • Tom Cruise and daughter Suri at Disney World last week. (Instagram)

Tom Cruise has been pulling out all the stops when it comes to daughter Suri lately. Since his split with wife Katie Holmes six weeks ago, the actor has turned his solo visits with his 6-year-old into fun and exciting excursions — helicopter rides, beach days in the Hamptons, and even a trip to Disney World last week. But the father-daughter duo didn't just take a ride on Space Mountain and spin on the Tea Cups and call it a day. Cruise, 50, also arranged for a once-in-a-lifetime experience for his little princess by booking the ultra-exclusive Cinderella Castle Suite.

The luxurious digs are actually inside the Magic Kingdom's iconic castle and feature plenty of ornate details to make any little girl's dreams come true. Guests enter by an elevator activated by a key-to-the-world card, which drops in them in a Cinderella-themed foyer, featuring the fairy tale's famous pumpkin coach made out of thousands of mosaic tiles. The space was originally created to be an apartment for Walt Disney, but he died before it was completed.

    • Kim Kardashian and her nephew Mason on August 5 (Splash News)

While Kim Kardashian may be obsessed with sharing her bikini body with the world, she was dressed in her Sunday best yesterday to take her nephew, Mason Disick, to church in Agoura Hills, California. With her big sister, Kourtney, busy with newborn Penelope, Kim was happy to shower the 2-year-old with attention during their day out, which also included lunch and shopping.

The 31-year-old reality TV queen was attached at the hip to her nephew, who appears to be picking up style points from his always dressed-to-the-nines father, Scott Disick. Still sporting shoulder-length hair, Mason definitely looked like a cool kid in a classic gray T-shirt, white shorts, and adorable camel leather high-top sneakers that were color coordinated with his aunt's very neutral-toned ensemble.

Although Mason was stylin', apparently Kim thought something was missing from his toddler outfit because after church they stopped at The Commons at Calabasas for a quick shopping trip. Kim carried Mason to a sunglasses kiosk where they tried on different pairs of shades. After some debate, the little boy settled on white aviator-inspired sunglasses, which we hope weren't too expensive as the life span of a pair of kids' sunglasses is typically very short.

As kids across Canada and the United States prepare to mourn the imminent end of summer vacation, the world's most famous tot is ready to make her classroom debut.

Suri Cruise hasn't had a terrible summer, aside from, obviously, her parents calling it quits. She's had ice cream trips with Katie Holmes and a Disney World getaway with Tom Cruise, hitting all the toddler trends while she's at it.

But what really has the six-year-old really going gaga is the idea of starting school at New York's $40,000-a-year private school, Avenues, after years of home schooling.

Holmes once said about homeschooling: "We like the one-on-one education. I'm happy that my daughter is strong-willed and determined. You really have to go with what the child is wanting."

    • ‘Bonus mom’ LeAnn Rimes has breakfast with her boys

LeAnn Rimes appears to be recovering from her dental drama! The country crooner, who underwent painful oral surgery last week and shared the play-by-play on Twitter, stepped out for a family meal with her husband, Eddie Cibrian, and his two young sons on Wednesday.

After consuming sauerkraut all weekend to "to put probiotics into my system to counteract all the meds" following a root canal, Rimes appeared happy to be on the mend and out with "my boys" — which is how she affectionately refers to the actor and her stepsons Mason, 9, and Jake, 5 — at breakfast hot spot Jinky's Cafe in Studio City, California. Rimes, who calls herself a "bonus mom" to the kids (their real mom is "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Brandi Glanville), was wearing a white tank top that proclaimed her a "femme fatale," as well as cuffed jeans and gladiator sandals.

While some stepmothers have limited roles in raising a spouse's children from a previous relationship, the 29-year-old Grammy winner has said she's actually a huge part of their upbringing. "It's not like we just have them on the weekends," Rimes told The Tennessean. "I do homework and I make lunches and I do normal things you would do as a mom and I enjoy it, that normal life that I've never had as a wife or as a mom. I never really knew if I wanted kids or not, because I was so business-focused and now I have two that aren't my blood, but really at the end of the day, I love watching them grow and learn, and I love to be a part of teaching them that."

Rimes' love of children extends beyond her own home. She is one of many celebs who have lent their name to Got Milk?'s initiative that seeks to raise money to fund an afterschool program focusing on nutrition and healthy living for school children and their parents in California. Rimes shared a home photo in which she's wearing a cowboy hat and sipping out of one of the limited-edition Got Milk? glasses that are on sale to benefit the program.

Barack Obama made history as the first African-American president of the United States when he was elected in 2008, but any girl growing up in America today — even his own daughters — could eventually make history again as the nation's first female president. The question looms, however, as to why in the year 2012, 164 years after America's first women's rights conference was held, hasn't it happened?

President Obama and his wife, Michelle, sat down with Ladies' Home Journal to share their theories on why women don't get involved in politics nearly as much as their male counterparts do, and what they're doing to ensure their daughters stay confident and build leadership skills.

"One argument is that women are just more sensible than men," the president says in the magazine's September issue of why women are less likely to run for office than men. "They don't want to put themselves through the ridiculous process. But I do think part of it has to do with the enormous strains

    • Jon and his brood. (Splash News)

Who knew caring for eight children would cost so much? Just about everyone … but Jon Gosselin. The former reality TV star has revealed in a new interview that since splitting from his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, and ending their TLC reality series "Jon & Kate Plus 8" a few years back, he's gone broke and can no longer afford to pay both his rent and his child support (the former couple's 11-year-old twins and 8-year-old sextuplets live primarily with Kate). And now he's facing jail time. "I am a single father who's trying to make ends meet during a recession," Jon, 35, tells Star magazine. "What do I do — pay child support or rent? I need to support my kids, but I could lose my house, and I need my home to continue to have custody … I'm doing the best I can, but life is so expensive with eight kids!"

Jon, who lived a lavish life in New York City with his much-younger girlfriend after ending his marriage in 2009, also gives himself a pat on the back by claiming he "decided to take the high road and quit reality television" — even though TLC let him go and turned the show into "Kate Plus 8." "Now look, I'm going to end up in jail because I can't afford to pay child support to Kate who has plenty of money," he added, taking a swipe at his famous ex, despite recently reconciling with her.

    • Tom and Suri at Walt Disney World on July 30 (Instagram)

With Katie Holmes having primary custody of Suri, Tom Cruise has been making the most of his now-limited time with the 6-year-old by planning elaborate daddy-daughter outings. The latest? A visit to Walt Disney World.

The 50-year-old movie megastar brought his New York City-based daughter to the Lake Buena Vista, Florida, theme park on Monday where they visited the Magic Kingdom. Accompanied by his sister Cass Mapother and their own VIP park attendant, Tom and Suri — who was dressed in an Ariel costume from "The Little Mermaid" — took in the attractions.

Sadly, Tom did not dress as Flounder or Sebastian.

    • Courteney Cox and her daughter Coco make a splash in NYC

Courteney Cox and Coco in NYC on July 29 (Splash News)

During a fun day out in New York City on Sunday, Courteney Cox and her daughter found themselves caught in a downpour, but the ladies didn't let the bad weather dampen their spirits.

After picking up some goodies at Ricky's, a chain of beauty supply stores in the Big Apple, the 48-year-old "Cougar Town" star and Coco, 8, found themselves in the middle of a super soaker — without an umbrella. Pedestrians around them immediately took cover in doorways to wait out the storm, but not Cox and Coco. They made a run for it!

Though they both smiled through the pouring rain, Coco appeared to be having the time of her life. Following a few steps behind her famous mother, she flashed a toothy grin as she practically danced through the raindrops wearing a fringed smiley face T-shirt, jean shorts, and flip flops — a look her eclectically styled father, David Arquette, would surely be proud of.
