According to People, just after 11 a.m. EDT, she took the stand and acknowledged that she lived in New York City. In court, her New York attorney, Andrew Friedman, said his client denies the charges of throwing a bong out of a window and that she claims police illegally followed her into her apartment.
Judge Neil Ross waived bail, but told Bynes that if she was arrested again or failed to return to court for her next appearance, he would "set a significant bail."
She was released on her own recognizance and her next court date is set for July 9.

The doorman reported that she was smoking marijuana in the lobby, but when police arrived, she was gone and had retreated to her apartment on the 36th floor.
