Canadian actress Nia Vardalos has revealed she wanted a baby so badly she went through 13 rounds of in vitro fertilization.

The 50-year-old "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" Oscar nominee recently told Access Hollywood that she "had a feeling of shame" over her infertility, which she eventually put aside to write her new book, "Instant Mom," which was released earlier this month.

“I was so stubborn and stayed with the fertility treatments and then -- I don't want to give a spoiler alert on the book -- an accident happened at the lab that was such a huge sign that I said, ‘Got it!’” she told the entertainment show.

Selena Gomez has gotten a break in her bindi battle.

The 20-year-old "Spring Break" star came under fire earlier this week for wearing a bindi during her performance of "Come & Get It" at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. The spokesperson for the U.S. Universal Society of Hinduism, Rajan Zed, asked her to apologize for using the "ancient tradition" for "seductive effects or as a fashion accessory aiming at mercantile greed."

But now a Canadian spokesperson for the religion is backing up the songstress's decision. Vinod Sharma, president of the United Hindu Congress of Canada, claimed he and his organisation "have no objection to it."

We may not know exactly where Walter White is headed, but we know exactly where Bryan Cranston has ended up.

The 57-year-old "Breaking Bad" star is in Vancouver ahead of the Aug. 11 premiere of his AMC show. On Wednesday, Cranston tweeted a photo of himself with... well, with himself, in the B.C. city.

"Did a double-take on this guy this morning on the streets of Vancouver. Tried to get him to tell me the ending of BB," Cranston tweeted, along with a picture of himself wearing a CBC hat, and standing next to local graffiti of Cranston's "Breaking Bad" character Walter White.

The "Childrens Hospital" has just welcomed a new child.

Canadian actress Malin Akerman, who stars as Dr. Valerie Flame on the Adult Swim series, gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Tuesday morning.

While many people are criticizing Justin Bieber over his Anne Frank gaffe, British comedian Ricky Gervais is actually supporting the Canadian pop star. Yeah, you heard right.

The 19-year-old "Boyfriend" singer has come under fire for visiting Anne Frank's house in Amsterdam and then writing in the guestbook, "Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber." And even though Gervais admits Bieber was being "a prat," he doesn't believe the Ontario native is "evil."

But the 51-year-old "Office" star then added an addendum.

Many celebrities took to the Internet on Monday in response to the Boston Marathon tragedy, but it was comedian Patton Oswalt who seemed to strike the biggest chord.

On Monday, Oswalt took to Facebook to post his reaction to the bombings. His thoughtful and beautifully written message has been "liked" more than 260,000 times and shared nearly as much.

After noting the "darkness" of the tragedy, Oswalt wrote, "The vast majority stands against that darkness and, like white blood cells attacking a virus, they dilute and weaken and eventually wash away the evil doers and, more importantly, the damage they wreak. This is beyond religion or creed or nation. We would not be here if humanity were inherently evil. We'd have eaten ourselves alive long ago." (Read the full post here.)

Drake thinks Chris Brown is doing it wrong. His music, that is.

In a new interview with the radio program "Keep It Thoro," the Canadian "Doing It Wrong" singer slammed his nemesis' work and treatment of Rihanna.

"His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, that I'm more poppin' than him and that at one point in life the woman that he loves fell into my lap and I did what a real n----a would do and treated her with respect, so she's not there talking down on me," Drake said on Friday.

He may have played Brandon Walsh for 10 years on "Beverly Hills, 90210," but that doesn't mean Jason Priestley would have been friends with his most famous character. Quite the contrary, in fact.

The 43-year-old Canadian actor is currently playing a devilish lawyer in the David Mamet play "Race" during its Toronto run, but Priestley is still most commonly associated with his virtuous alter ego Brandon, whom he embodied on "90210" from 1990 to 2000. Yet Priestley has revealed in a new interview with The Globe and Mail that he prefers other characters he has played.

"Brandon was very one-dimensional, didn’t provide a lot of challenges, but also did not provide a lot of fun," Priestley said. "He was the social conscience of America."
