It's a bittersweet day for Kelsey Grammer and his wife Kayte. In the early hours of Friday morning, the couple welcomed a daughter, Faith Evangeline Elisa, who weighed in at 6 pounds, 2 ounces. "We are thrilled," the couple announced in a statement. "Mother and child are in excellent health." The happy news also came with a heavy heart since Kayte lost the son she was also carrying shortly after she and the "Boss" star revealed their double joy earlier this year. "This was not something we cared to make known publicly at the time," Grammer, 57, and Kayte, 31, added. "It was unspeakably painful and we know that people will understand our desire to keep the news private then, as we know they will respect our privacy in this matter now. A glorious birth with a lingering sadness is ours today. We choose to celebrate the life that has been given us. We proudly introduce our Faith to the world today looking forward to the days ahead and the children yet to come."

The way Katie Holmes carefully plotted her split from Tom Cruise could easily be a Hollywood thriller. The actress "surprised" her husband with a phone call asking for a divorce while he was thousands of miles away in Iceland, shooting his upcoming sci-fi flick "Oblivion," on June 29, then she managed to wrestle away custody of Suri, 6, from him just 11 days later. A report released on Tuesday details just how she went about her secret plan — she used a disposable cell phone.

Forget a birthday cake for her 40th birthday. Sofia Vergara got something much sweeter from her on-again beau Nick Loeb: a diamond engagement ring. Although her rep won't confirm the happy news, multiple reports are claiming Loeb, a Florida-based politician and businessman, popped the question while celebrating her milestone birthday in Mexico on Monday. One source tells omg! that he got down on one knee at the Mayan archaeological ruins of Chichen Itza in front of her friends and family who were also on the trip.

After the proposal, everyone headed back to the Rosewood Mayakoba resort, where they continued the revelry with Vergara's "Modern Family" castmates Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Julie Bowen, and Sarah Hyland. In fact, the secret engagement was first blabbed when her friend Fernando Fiore, who once starred with her on "Fuera de Serie," tweeted a photo from her party — and everyone zeroed in on the huge diamond ring on her left hand. Just before, he made another Twitter boo-boo when he hinted that she was in for a surprise.

The Kardashian family is not getting another K-named member. Oldest sibling Kourtney gave birth to daughter Penelope Scotland on Sunday morning in Los Angeles with longtime boyfriend Scott Disick by her side. The 7-pound, 14-ounce bundle of joy joins big brother Mason, 2. "Scott and I are overjoyed to welcome our precious angel Penelope Scotland Disick into our lives," the 33-year-old reality star tells E! News. "We are forever blessed. Mommy and baby are resting comfortably."

Kourtney's mother Kris Jenner was also on hand to welcome her second grandchild into the world. The delivery "was great," she told the network, which is home to their "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" show. "She had an easy delivery. [Penelope] is so cute. She looks just like Mason. She's so beautiful. We are so happy."

Although Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes agreed to keep the details of their divorce settlement under wraps, details have started to emerge. The most important one: the battle over their 6-year-old daughter Suri, of whom the actress requested sole custody in her June 29 filing. According to People magazine, both Cruise and Holmes agreed that Suri "should live primarily with her mother in New York City with generous visitation by her father." Adds a source, "They both love their daughter and Tom thinks she should be with her mother … Neither one of them wanted this to be hashed out in public."

Ever since Holmes, 33, surprised Cruise with divorce papers just days before his 50^th birthday, Suri has been spotted with her mother all over Manhattan. The two, who moved out of the "Rock of Ages" star's East Village home and now live in a new three-bedroom apartment in the Chelsea neighborhood, have visited museums, grabbed lunch with friends, and gone out for ice cream together. Although Suri has not seen her father since he's been filming in Iceland, she does reportedly talk to him on the phone every day. People also reports that she will be enrolled in a private school in the city come this fall.

No one knows the public scrutiny of trying to lose the extra baby weight that Jessica Simpson is currently facing more than Kendra Wilkinson. After the Playmate-turned-reality star welcomed son Hank IV in December 2009, she struggled to shed the 60 pounds she put on during pregnancy and regain the sexy shape (and those abs!) that made her famous as one of Hugh Hefner's three girlfriends on E!'s "Girls Next Door." "I looked in the mirror and I said, 'I'm fat,'" Wilkinson told ABC News last year when discussing her battle with not only trying to drop the baby weight but postpartum depression as well. So she is especially sensitive to the microscope Simpson is under as she tries to lose the more than 70 pounds she reportedly gained while pregnant with daughter Maxwell Drew.

"That just breaks my heart," Wilkinson, 27, tells omg! from Yahoo!. "I feel for her. I was in the same boat. People just need to mind their own business. That's a woman who just gave birth. Her first priority right now is her child. Her first priority is not losing the weight. You should be proud of her for that. A lot of people just dump their kids off at nannies and lose the weight overnight. We should all be proud of her for being real and taking control and making priorities."

Willow Smith may not be able to whip her hair back and forth anymore, but the 11-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett is still making a mark in music. On Sunday, Willow debuted the video for her new song, "I Am Me," a ballad about celebrating her unique look, which is often mocked. In it, the tween, who has a shaved head, wanders around New York City in an oversized yellow-and-white polka dot shirt and stops in various locations to play her keyboard and sing for the camera. Although the song is pretty simple (the chorus repeats: "I am me/I am free/That's all I can be"), Willow's powerful pipes are quite impressive for her age.

The "Boyfriend" singer received a diploma from St. Michael Catholic Secondary School in his Canadian hometown of Stratford, Ontario, on June 28. Although he did not attend the ceremony, Bieber was listed amongst the 192 students in the graduation program.

In May, the 18-year-old bragged to The Daily Telegraph that he had completed his studies. "I passed my test — I'm free!" he said at the time. "It was hard doing school and work every day." But he did it for his mother, Pattie Mallette, who was just a teen herself when she gave birth to the future pop star. Graduating, he has said, "was something my mom really wanted me to do.
