He’s best known as the man who launched other names to fame, including Whitney Houston, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dyland, Janis Joplin, Alicia Keys, and Kelly Clarkson, just to name a few. But now, Clive Davis is the one in the headlines after revealing his bisexuality in a new memoir.

The legendary 80-year-old record producer’s new book, published Tuesday, explores his various professional and personal partnerships. In the chapters surrounding his sexuality, Davis writes that his first experience with another man happened at Studio 54 in New York City.

“Was I nervous? Absolutely. Did the heavens open up? No. But it was satisfying," he writes in “The Sound Track of My Life,” in which he describes his sexual identity as bisexual, not gay.

Who knew that a romance story between a beautiful young woman and a bloodthirsty zombie with a heart of gold would be such a hit? But “Warm Bodies,” the film about a zombie who falls in love with a human, is the rom-com (or, should we say, rom-com-zom) that's been topping box office charts since the beginning of February. And, as a result, its relatively unknown star Analeigh Tipton is getting shot straight to stardom.

But if you feel like you’ve seen 24-year-old Tipton before, it’s because you probably have. And now that you’re likely to see more of this actress from Sacramento (who has also appeared in “The Green Hornet,” “Crazy Stupid Love,” “Damsels in Distress,” and “Hung”) here are five things you should know about her now.

    • What’s up with Ethan Hawke’s new Billy Idol look?

The stars were out on Monday night, walking the red carpet at the Berlin Film Festival, including "Before Midnight" stars Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke. However, there was one distraction that ended up overshadowing the beauty of these two stars: Hawke’s new '90s bleached-blond hairstyle.

The 42-year-old actor is currently returning to theatre in the Off-Broadway play “Clive,” which he directs as well as stars in. In it, Hawke plays an aging rocker in the 1990s in search of a comeback -- and he’s got the hair to prove it. The rock ’n’ roll look worked for Hawke when he attended the play’s opening night party last week -- with his heavy eyeliner and an all-black outfit, Hawke drew comparisons to David Bowie, Billy Idol, and Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath.

Out of that context, though, it’s a 911 call to Hollywood’s fashion police.

    • Saoirse Ronan’s odd ensemble at the IFTAs: Love it or hate it?

      Getty Images

Saoirse Ronan may play an alien-human hybrid in the upcoming movie “The Host,” but it appears she’s embracing the futuristic look in real life, too.

While attending the 10th annual Irish Film and Television Awards on Saturday in Dublin, Ireland, 18-year-old Ronan wore a shiny, jet black frock with bold mesh cutouts around the sides and back. She gave her boxy ensemble – resembling a little like a red carpet robot – extra flair by choosing a pair of contrasting stark white lace-up loafers.

The unexpected match was the focal point of the outfit, as this teen decided to pull her hair back in frizzy ponytail with plenty of volume thanks to a super tight crimp added to her signature blonde tresses. With pale skin and neutral makeup, the only accessories Ronan needed were her crystal blue eyes. Taking it all in in one glance, the look was one of the most unique of the night, which saw the drama “What Richard Did” take away the top awards.

    • William Shatner disses Reddit, chats with astronaut

It may have been many years since he was on “Star Trek,” but Montreal-born William Shatner is reaching out into the great unknown again – in more ways than one.

Much like space, the Internet is another uncharted frontier, and Shatner seems to think it should be a little more controlled – on Reddit, at least. The 81-year-old actor recently joined the sprawling online community last month for an “Ask Me Anything” session with his devoted Trekkies. And though since then he’s become active in the “Star Trek” subreddit, Shatner revealed that he has found elements of Reddit to be less savory.

In a post titled “Turning off private messages” in a section for suggestions to improve Reddit’s administration, he started out asking for a feature to stop an intimidating stream of fan requests. Eventually, Shatner let off some steam.

“I am appalled [sic] by some of the immature, horrifically racist, sexist, homophobic, ethnic... etc.. posts that are just ignored here. Why are these accounts still active?” he wrote.

    • Has Tom Hardy joined Instagram?

      Instagram

It has been six months and 19 days since “The Dark Knight Rises” opened in theatres in and Tom Hardy became the world’s most dapper-voiced, bone-crushing villain Bane. And for those who are seriously starting to feel the effects of Hardy withdrawal, we have an antidote: an Instagram account purporting to belong to the actor himself.

Under the name @hardythomas, the Instagram account has uploaded 31 photos since Jan. 30, 2013. So far, all of them are photos of Hardy himself (except for one of a Bane action figure). Hardy with fans, Hardy in movie stills, Hardy at basketball games, Hardy at the club -- they’re all there. And they’re not all recent photos, either: There’s one photo of him with his dog Max who reportedly died in 2011, and a 2008 photo with his son Louis, whose mother is Hardy’s ex-girlfriend Rachael Speed.

    • That time Ke$ha was on ‘The Simple Life’ with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie

      Paul Morigi/Getty Images

If you’ve ever wondered what kind of home life Ke$ha had growing up, the answer has been under our noses since 2005. That’s when the world saw Ke$ha’s family play host to Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton during the third season of “The Simple Life.”

While interning as wedding planners in Nashville, Tennessee, Paris and Nicole met Pebe Sebert and her kids – Kesha Rose, who was 17 or 18 years old at the time, and her little brother Louis.

“All the kids play music, we all meditate, we’re I guess what you call ‘free spirits,'” Sebert told the cameras, introducing her family. “I think Paris and Nicole will fit in with our family really well.”

    • Drake receives humanitarian award for Toronto’s Bob Marley Day, but does not attend

      Drake (Getty Images)

The City of Toronto officially declared this Wednesday Bob Marley Day, in order to celebrate the theme "unity through diversity." As part of the festivities, eight Torontonians were honoured with humanitarian awards -- including Canada Basketball's executive vice-president Rowan Barrett, the first female judge of colour in the Court of Canadian Citizenship Pamela Appelt, and "Take Care" rapper Drake. Drake, however, did not attend the event at Toronto's city hall.

We don’t know exactly where the 26-year-old hip-hop star and former "Degrassi" actor was on Wednesday (though he was definitely at his Los Angeles mansion on Super Bowl Sunday), but we do know what he was doing: reveling in his crush on "Parks and Recreation" actress Aubrey Plaza.

"I never tweet what I'm doing cause it'd just be like 'yooo who else is up eating granola and watching aubrey plaza interview snippets,'" @Drizzy tweeted at 8 a.m. on Feb. 6.

    • Jessica Chastain and Ellen DeGeneres reveal the key to ‘cool’ (VIDEO)

It's a testament to Jessica Chastain’s overnight shot to stardom that she has starred in a handful of Oscar-nominated movies and a Broadway play, winning countless acting awards along the way – but she hadn’t even been on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" yet!

That changed this week, when the 35-year-old star of "The Help," "Zero Dark Thirty," and "Mama" finally sat down with the popular dancing TV host. And she was really excited. Letting out a girlish squeal as she stepped onto the stage, Chastain danced her way over to DeGeneres and shouted, "I’ve always wanted to meet you!"

Even when sitting down the gushing continued. "I’ve always wanted to meet you. I’m freaking out, you guys!" Chastain exclaimed. DeGeneres echoed the excitement, and explaining she accidentally nearly grabbed Chastain's derriere in the frenzy.

    • Tim Hortons creates ‘The Priestley’ doughnut

Tim Hortons created a doughnut based on Jason Priestley. (Tim Hortons/Twitter, CBS)

Canada’s favourite coffee chain is apparently on a mission to make everyone’s wildest dreams come true. Or, more specifically, its marketing team is, since it's been responding to some crazy requests coming in .

In Monday night’s Canada-themed episode of “How I Met Your Mother,” a lot of the action happened inside or about a Tim Hortons coffee-and-doughnut shop. Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) used the baked goods to lure in his fiancée's string of former flings for an interview. And in a spoof "Under the Tunes" documentary that chronicled the demise of Robin’s pop music career, former Barenaked Ladies frontman Steven Page sullenly said, “To this day, ask any Canadian where they were when Robin Sparkles lost it, and not only can they tell you which Tim Hortons they were in, but what doughnut they were eating.”

According to Vancouver-born Jason Priestley, he was in Squamish, B.C., where he “crammed a Timbit into a strawberry vanilla and invented ‘The Priestley.’”

While the rest of us face-palmed for not thinking of it first, Tim Hortons wasted no time in making"The Priestley" happen in real life.
